Maidens Barn Wedding Photography for Alice & Billy

Maidens Barn Wedding Photography for Alice and Billy, what a pleasure it was!

It was a crisp, bright, very cold frosty, winter’s morning in December, when we turned up at St Mary’s Church, Dunmow before the Wedding. A lovely setting.

Preparations

Alice’s family home was where we went to next. Alice was getting ready there with her Bridesmaids. Everyone was chilled and preparations were going well. It wasn’t long before it was time for Alice to put on her Wedding Dress. The Bridesmaids were dressed and waiting for her to join them in the Conservatory. The big reveal took place! Alice looked amazing!

The Church

Billy and his Best Man and Ushers arrived just after us, so once they were ready we took a few pictures of them.

They then returned to their duties. Guests started to arrive. The Flowergirls and Pageboys congregated at the back of the Church waiting for Alice to arrive. All ready. The flowergirls and Pageboys led the way. Billy was watching and waiting for Alice.

Alice took her Father’s arm and walked toward the front of the Church.

After the service, as it was very cold outside we arranged a few requested family pictures inside the Church. This worked very well.

Happy with the pictures, Alice and Billy then left the Church and were covered in confetti as they made their way from the Church.

Maidens Barn

Off to Maidens Barn we went. A couple of pictures to catch up on when we arrived but that didn’t take too long.

Alice and Billy enjoyed socialising with their Guests during the Drinks Reception. Before the Wedding Breakfast, as the sun was going down we took Alice and Billy for a very short walk, it was getting very cold, for a few pictures.

The Wedding Breakfast was soon after and that was followed by the Speeches and the cutting of the Wedding Cake. The evening celebrations then began.

Wedding Photography Maidens Barn – Anita & Steve

Wedding Photography Maidens Barn

Anita and Steve couldn’t have asked for a better day for their Maidens Barn Wedding.  Our first port of call on their Wedding Day was at Anita’s home for the bridal preparations.  We arrived as Anita was in the final stages of having her make-up and hair done.  In between photographing these moments we got on with photographing Anita’s accessories.

The Bridesmaids were also getting ready as well as Anita’s Mum so there was a lot happening, but everything was running smoothly.  It was a beautiful day and once they were all ready we all went into the garden. Anita looked stunning and with a mixture of sun and shade we got on with the more posed pictures.  We managed to find time for  a final picture of them all standing by the white London cab at the front of the house before we left.  It had been a while since we had photographed a Wedding at Maidens Barn so we were really looking forward to this country barn setting.  An outside Ceremony was what Anita and Steve wanted and their wish was granted! We took a few pictures of the set-up before the Guests started to arrive and some pictures of Steve and his Groomsmen. Anita arrived soon afterwards.  The Guests took their places for the Ceremony and with the Harpist playing the Barn Doors opened and Anita, holding onto her Mother’s arm made her way into the garden.  Maidens Barn Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony, Anita, Steve and their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception, making use of the new Oak Barn which provided coolness and shade!  Once the requested family groups, fun and confetti pictures were done there was a little time for Anita and Steve’s pictures.  Although still hot we walked to the field for a few pictures of them together. Wedding Photography Maidens Barn Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Wedding Breakfast was held in Elm Barn and the Speeches followed.  Everybody then went outside to enjoy the evening sunshine and the evening Guests started to arrive.  Anita and Steve wanted to practice their First Dance out of sight of their Guests, so this gave us the opportunity to go with them and take a few pictures as well.  When most of Anita and Steve’s evening Wedding Guests having arrived they took to the dance floor. A brilliant First Dance! The best place for the sunset that evening was a short drive down the road and knowing how much Anita and Steve wanted their pictures, they were happy to go for a ride in our car! Thank you Anita and Steve, lovely Wedding Photography Maidens Barn!Wedding Photography Maidens Barn After capturing some informal pictures during the evening, we finished with a Maidens Barn night picture!  Lovely to see Hannah and Craig again, a year after we photographed their Wedding at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon. A wonderful day!

Wedding Photography Maidens Barn for Helen & William

Wedding Photography Maidens Barn – We were pleased to be asked to photography Helen and William’s Autumn Wedding at Maidens Barn, Dunmow. Helen was getting ready in the superb Farmhouse and preparations were well underway when we arrived. After photographing these, it wasn’t long before William and his Groomsmen arrived.  With the weather holding David went off to photograph them outside the Barn whilst I stayed in the Farmhouse.  Shortly afterwards Helen, her Parents and Bridesmaids were all ready for a few pictures.  The Farmhouse provided some nice spots for Helen’s portraits before it was time for the Civil Ceremony. With the Guests seated in the Barn, Helen entered with her Father accompanied by her Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy. After the Ceremony, Helen and William led their Guests to the Drinks Reception and socialised for a little while.  With the rain holding off and making use of the covered areas around Maidens Barn we took the requested family group pictures. A Magician entertained the Guests during the afternoon and after Helen and Guy had been shown some tricks, we took them for a quick walk around Maidens Barn for their pictures.  Not having much time to spare as the rain was threatening we managed to achieve some nice images with the Autumn colours, just before the shower! Confetti pictures followed before the start of the Wedding Breakfast. Speeches were after the meal.  When it was time for the Best Man’s Speech, it was delivered by Oliver, as he was the Best Man and assisted by Gemma, his wife, who happened to be Helen’s Matron of Honour!  Being there to capture the emotions was wonderful, even though it  was a touch difficult for us as we were crying with laughter and having a job to see through our cameras! A superbly funny speech! Evening Guests arrived a little while later and we took a few evening pictures before the cake cutting and First Dance.  Our day ended with some night pictures of Helen and Guy outside.  A lovely day!
