Wedding Photographer Layer Marney Tower for Stacey & Sam
It was an early start for Stacey and Sam’s Wedding at Layer Marney Tower. Our first port of call was at Stacey’s Parents’ house where Stacey was getting ready. Stacey’s Bridesmaids were getting ready as well and all preparations were going well. We got on with taking pictures of Stacey’s accessories and details. Once the Bridesmaids and Orla the Flowergirl were ready we went into the garden as it was such a nice day to take some pictures. Stacey was soon ready as well and we were able to finish all the pictures.
Off to the wedding
We then headed off to Layer Marney Tower where the Wedding Ceremony was being held. Layer Marney Tower is a glorious setting for a Wedding and looked wonderful in the brilliant sunshine. Meeting with Sam we took a few pictures of him with his Best Man before they greeted the Guests. Some Guests arrived on the Layer Marney bus we captured their arrival. Sam went into the Corsellis Room which was where the Ceremony was taking place after having a brief chat with the Registrars. Meanwhile Stacey had arrived driven by Graham in the Layer Marney Tower. They then made their way into the building for the Ceremony stopping for a couple of quick pictures on the way. After the Ceremony Stacey and Sam went for a short ride whilst the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the grounds. When Stacey and Sam returned they were dropped at the bottom gate and walked up the path to the Tower watched by their Guests.
After the requested family group pictures Stacey and Sam enjoyed having social time to spend with their Guests. Later when we took Stacey and Sam for a few pictures around Layer Marney. The brilliant caricaturist Steve Hearn and the String Quartet entertained the Guests. Just before the Wedding Breakfast Breakfast in the Long Gallery, it was confetti time. Some nice pictures.
After The meal
After the meal it was time for the Speeches. With it being such a nice evening people made the most to by going outside. During the evening we took a few informal pictures and escaped for a few minutes to take Stacey and Sam around the front of Layer Marney. The bus was there so they had a few fun pictures with that as well before it was time for their cake cutting. Stacey and Sam’s First Dance followed.
We ended our coverage of Stacey and Sam’s Wedding Day with some fabulous sunset and Tower shots. Thank you Stacey and Sam for asking us to take your photographs of your Wedding. It was a lovely day spent with lovely people.
Layer Marney Wedding Photographer for Clare & Michael
It was a lovely day for the Wedding of Clare and Michael at Layer Marney Tower, Colchester. Clare was getting ready at her home so that is where we started our coverage. On our arrival we were met by Clare, her Mother and the Bridesmaids. Everybody was happy and relaxed with preparations well in hand. After taking a picture of the girls in their Dressing Gowns with the Champagne, it was time for them to get dressed. The Bridesmaids looked wonderful in their Poppy Red Bridesmaid dresses, with Clare looking amazing in her Wedding Dress. After taking a couple of pictures inside as it was dry and warm we all went outside for a few more. Leaving them we made our way to Layer Marney Tower, Layer de la Haye. Michael was there, looking very smart in his uniform, with his Best Man and Ushers. We had time to take some pictures before the Registrars needed Michael before the Ceremony. The Layer Marney Double Decker Bus arrived with some of the Guests so we took a few pictures as they arrived. The Guests made their way to the Corsellis Room and it wasn’t long before Clare arrived in the Layer Marney vintage Rolls Royce.
Clare took her Father’s arm and made her way into the Corsellis Room. After the Ceremony, Clare and Michael went for a ride in the car whilst their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception outside in the grounds of Layer Marney. Clare and Michael returned a little later and arrived at the bottom gate. They walked up the path towards the Tower as their Guests took pictures of them from the top of the steps. Following spending some time with their Guests during the Drinks Reception we got on with the requested family pictures. After a break we then took Clare and Michael for a quick walk around the Layer Marney grounds. This included going to the lake and the barn, ending up with some nice pictures. Clare and Michael were showered with confetti on the stairs before then going into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast. After the meal it was time for the Speeches. Some great reactions! Afterwards, whilst the Long Gallery was being arranged for the evening celebrations, Guests socialised outside and during this time we took some informal pictures. Clare and her Bridesmaids wanted a couple of pictures on the bus, which we took before it was time to go back into the Long Gallery for the dancing. After the happy couple cut their Wedding Cake and they took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A couple of night pictures ended our coverage of Clare and Michael’s Wedding Day. A great day and a joy to work with such a lovely couple.

Teri & Robert were married in July 2016 at Layer Marney Tower – their comments on receiving their finished book:-
Hello David and Sandra,
We would just like to say we have looked through our album this afternoon using the white gloves, and we both agree that it is stunning. The quality of the book is very high and we are very happy with the way it was presented in the box. All the photos have come out really well and we cant thank you enough for capturing our day in such a perfect way, which we will remember for years to come.
Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photos – Layer Marney Tower was the chosen Wedding Venue for Alison and Steven’s Wedding. Both Alison & Steve were starting from Five Lakes, Crowne Plaza Resort, Colchester and we we went to see Alison. Preparations were going well and it was busy, busy, busy! With lots to photograph we quickly got on with the job. Steven and his Groomsmen were downstairs, so we were able to get a couple of pictures of them before they had to leave for Layer Marney. We had a little time left for a few pictures of the girls once they were all dressed, before we also left for Layer Marney.
After a few pictures of Steven and his Groomsmen they sat disappeared into the Corsellis Room out of sight before Alison arrived. After seeing the Registrars, Alison took her Father’s arm and followed the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls into the Ceremony room. Following the Ceremony the Alison and Steven led their Guests outside and after a few minutes they went off for a short ride whilst their Guests were served Reception drinks. On their return and after a few pictures with the car and the Tower, Alison and Steven walked up the path to where they were greeted by their Guests. AfterAlison and Steven had enjoyed some social time with their Guests and we had taken a few requested family photographs, we took them for a short walk around the grounds. It was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast in the Long Gallery. Before the Speeches began Spencer Wood provided the entertainment as a surprise. Following the Speeches everybody enjoyed the warm evening sunshine. Alison and Steven’s evening Guests arrived and we took some informal pictures of them. Alison and Steven then cut their Wedding Cake prior to their First Dance. Adam of ‘Your Wedding Disco’ provided the light shoe, pyrotechnics and the disco for the evening. A couple of night shots ended our coverage of a lovely day! It was nice to work again with Clive Maynard Toastmaster and Andrew of Crystal Clear Video.
