Bradbourne House Wedding – Kate & Mark

Bradbourne House Wedding

We were delighted to be asked to photograph Kate and Mark’s Wedding at the stunning Bradbourne House, East Malling Kent.  Kate was a Bridesmaid at her sister’s Emma’s Wedding which we photographed at Court Lodge Barn, Stansted, Kent, in the summer last year. Now it was role reversal time! We arrived at Kate’s Parents’ house on a beautiful early spring day. The girls were getting ready and everything was running smoothly. Capturing the moments as well as detail and accessory shots kept us busy and as always the last hour was going so quickly!

Kent Wedding Photographer Kate was helped by her Mother, Yvonne, and her Bridesmaids, Jemma, Emma and Becky and once everything was completed we all stepped outside into the garden for a few portraits. With a slight wind blowing we were thankful the back garden was sheltered.  After taking the pictures we then left to go to St Mary’s Church, Fawkham, for the church service.  The sun was shining, some Guests were greeting Mark and his Groomsmen, whilst others were just arriving.  It was a lovely setting for some informal guest arrival pictures before the start of the Wedding.  After a couple of pictures of Mark, it was time for everybody to go inside the Church before Kate arrived.  With all the guests seated in the Church, Kate was  escorted by her Father, Paul, and her Bridesmaids, along the path and into the church.Kent Wedding Photographer After the service, Kate and Mark led their Guests outside for a few requested family pictures.  Although reasonably sunny and warm the wind had got up causing a change to our spot for some of the pictures. Kate and Mark in between the pictures talked to their Guests before it was time to leave for the Reception.  This was our first Bradbourne House Wedding and we were looking forward to taking pictures taken there, hoping we could find sufficient time! Luck was on our side, the journey was good so getting there at the same time as Kate and Mark allowed us to take the happy couple for a short walk around the stunning grounds for some pictures. Bradbourne House Wedding As their Guests arrived they went into the House to enjoy the Drinks Reception and as ever we wanted the happy couple to spend time with their guests, not just us taking photos! Whilst Kate and Mark enjoyed this period we took some candid and documentary pictures of the guests.  With it being so warm, several of their Guests spilled out onto the patio and steps at the back of the House to enjoy the sunshine, giving us extra opportunity for some different pictures.  After a few requested small group pictures and some fun bridal pictures, it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. We were unsure whether there was going to be a sunset and if we would be able to see it due to the trees! Knowing it would be during the Wedding Breakfast we were on standby and we couldn’t have been more lucky, a  brilliant sunset! Wedding Photographer KentAfter the Speeches the room was prepared for the evening entertainment. With the room transformation complete, Kate and Mark then performed a rehearsed First Dance to their Guests, followed by members of Kate’s family doing their ‘party’ piece, great fun!Essex Wedding Photographer We finishing our coverage of a wonderful Wedding with a couple of outside pictures.  Thank you to Emma for helping us finding Guests so quickly for the pictures allowing us to get some extra pictures of Kate and Mark together. A wonderful Wedding!  Thank you to Yvonne and Paul for making us so welcome. We look forward to doing another Bradbourne House wedding in the future.

Wedding Photography Kent – Court Lodge Barn, Stansted for Emma & James

Wedding Photography Kent – It was a bright and early start for us, with fingers crossed for the rain to stop for Emma and James’ Wedding in Kent –  We arrived at Emma’s house and the bridal preparations were well underway and going smoothly. With lots to photograph I busily got on with the ‘getting ready’pictures whilst David did something we don’t often do and disappeared for a little while to photograph the men’s preparations at the nearby Brands Hatch Place Hotel.

David returned shortly and it wasn’t long before the girls were dressed and ready for a few pictures. As it had dried up outside we took a couple of pictures of Emma, the Bridesmaid and her Parents and a few bridal portraits, before it was time for us to leave for the Church.

St Mary’s Church, Fawkham, was where Emma and James were to be married.  The sunshine was out as James, his Groomsmen and the Guests arrived at the Church.  A few pictures of James with his Best Man and Ushers were taken before it was time for them to go inside the Church.

Emma arrived at Church with her Father and Bridesmaids and made the short walk up the path and into the Church for the service.

After being showered in confetti Emma and James left the Church for the Reception.

Court Lodge Barn, Stansted was the chosen Wedding Venue and as the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks reception in the warm sunshine in the grounds behind the Barn whilst being entertained by a Steel Band. Once Emma and James arrived, we took a few pictures of them before they socialised. During this time we took some informal pictures before the fun bridal pictures before the Wedding Breakfast.

As there was a few minutes between the end of the dessert and Speeches, and it was very hot in the Barn, Emma and James came outside and we took advantage and took some pictures of them.  This was followed by capturing some lovely reactions when the Speeches took place.

The lane beside the Barn provided Emma and James with some lovely evening pictures before their First Dance.  Thinking we were not going to get a sunset that evening, we all were delighted when we looked skywards for the umpteenth time that evening and found we did! A nice way to end our coverage of a lovely Wedding.

Kent Wedding Photography – Somerhill School

Kent Wedding photography – Emma and Nick had booked us for their Wedding Photography over 18 months ago. They were recommended by Nick’s Best Man, Cameron, and his wife Judith, who were married at The Fennes Estate in 2012. It was a beautiful day and an early start for us for their Wedding photography in Tonbridge, Kent.  Emma was having the final touches applied to her make-up at her Parents’ home and we quickly got on with the accessory shots before Emma was ready to put her Wedding Dress on. We took some images of Emma on the stairs and the hallway where the light was good, before going into the garden for some pictures with the family and Emma’s Bridesmaid, Anna.

wedding photographer Tonbridge KentWith time on our side for a change and everyone relaxed we achieved some nice pictures and then left for the Church.  St Peter’s Church, Southborough, was where Emma and Nick were to be married.  When the Flowergirls arrived we photographed them together with some Guest arrivals.  Nick, Cameron, and the Ushers provided us with some great images of them walking to the Church across the Green prior to a few formal shots of them all at the Church.  Emma arrived shortly afterwards and entered the Church.  We were able to provide different angles as we were allowed to photograph from the balcony and the aisle. After the service, we took a couple of pictures of the Bridal Party outside the Church followed by the confetti pictures.  Emma and Nick then led their Guests across the road to the Green for some family group pictures which took around ten minutes. wedding photographer Tonbridge Wells KentThe Guests then waved Emma and Nick off to the Wedding Reception.  Emma and Nick were allowed to have their Reception at Somerhill School, Tonbridge as they were both former pupils.  A superb setting for a Wedding Reception! As the Guests were arriving and were welcomed with canapés and drinks, Emma, Nick and ourselves went for a quick walk around some of the grounds as time was now short!wedding photographer Somerhill KentWe did however make sure Emma and Nick had a little time to enjoy the canapes and socialise with their Guests,  whilst we took some some reportage style pictures.  Shortly before the Receiving Line and Wedding Breakfast we did the everybody shot which helped the Toast Master. After our coverage of the Speeches, the evening light and weather was even better and we managed to take Emma and Nick for a few minutes for some evening shots.wedding photographer Somerhill

Somerhill KentTheir Evening Guests arrived and Emma tossed her bouquet, just before the First Dance.  We thought the fantastic sunset would really round off a their great day of pictures, however when Emma and Nick went to get their  Fish and Chips from the van they laid on, we got a couple of great night shots with the happy couple outside the illuminated School! A wonderful Wedding! Thank you Cameron (Best Man) and Judith for recommending us, it was lovely to see you again.  It was nice to work with the Toastmaster, Jim Cattermole again, and thanks to the Caterers for looking after us so well. As for the fantastic Band, great to meet you! It seems Kent wedding photography is well suited to us!

Turkey Mill Wedding Photography – Lisa & Colin

The beautiful Turkey Mill Wedding Venue, in Maidsone, Kent, was where Lisahhjj and Colin picked for their Civil Ceremony and Reception. Before going there we travelled to Lisa and Colin’s home which is where Lisa was getting ready and where we met up with David of Rideout Productions. Everything was going well and on time and we captured some nice images together with the details shots.  Once everybody was ready we took a few pictures before leaving to go to Turkey Mill.  Although we had been to Turkey Mill before, this was our first time photographing  a Wedding there.  The landscaped gardens looked lovely and with such wonderful weather it looked extra beautiful. We found Colin and his Groomsmen and took their pictures in between Guests’ arrival pictures.  Lisa arrived with her Mum, who was giving her away, at the front of Turkey Mill and we were able to take a few pictures of Lisa on her own as well as with her Mum before the Ceremony. Together with her Bridesmaids they then made their way over the bridge towards the Orangery where the Ceremony was held. Afterwards Lisa and Colin stepped out onto the lawn and greeted their Guests before the requested family pictures were taken.  Later as the Guests continued to enjoy the Drinks Reception we took Lisa and Colin for a short walk for a few pictures of them together, before returning to take the confetti pictures. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Garden Room, followed by the Speeches.  Lisa and Colin wanted to make the most of this wonderful Wedding Venue so we were more than happy to go for a different walk around the grounds, including the Turkey Mill Pond and the tumbling Waterfall.  Turkey Mill in the evening provided Lisa and Colin with wonderful backdrops which we captured.  As for Lisa and Colin’s First Dance, wow!  A great rehearsed dance, so good!  A wonderful day, a lovely couple, a superb Wedding Venue and great to see Sarah and Will again and their family, thank you for recommending us! Oh yes, and in case you don’t take our word for it we recognised Turkey Mill as the setting for the wedding of Dr Watson in the recent Sherlock series on BBC 1!wedding photography at Turkey Mill Turkey Mill wedding photos wedding photography at Turkey Mill, Maidstone, Kent Turkey Mill reportage wedding photography Turkey Mill photojournalistic wedding photography Maidstone wedding photo at Turkey Mill Turkey Mill, Kent wedding photographer Kent night photographs at Turkey Mill wedding
