Hedingham Castle Wedding – James & Ben

Heddingham Castle

We were happy to be asked to be the photographers for James and Ben’s Hedingham Castle Wedding. They had waited a long time for their special day and what a day it was!

The Morning

The morning of the Wedding proved to be rather wet but we had our fingers crossed that later it would be fine. James and Ben were getting ready in the Cottage so we joined them there as the preparations were taking place. Happy and chilled everyone was and we captured some of those moments. When James and Ben were ready just a few pictures were taken of them before they made their way over to the Castle.

The Wedding Guests had taken their seats and once James and Ben arrived it was time for the Ceremony. James and Ben walked in together and the Ceremony began.

Afterwards, following a few pictures inside we went outside as it had stopped raining. Guests enjoyed the drinks Reception in the Castle and came out if they were required for pictures. James and Ben were able to spend time with their Guests before taking a short time out for pictures of the two of them. The lake looked a picture especially as it was late afternoon. Although it had been raining, therefore wet underfoot, James and Ben were happy to go over to the lake. Good timing, lovely pictures.

Heddingham Castle is not one of the easiest to get sunset pictures due to the trees. This day was great as the sunset showed high into the sky!

Hedingham Castle Wedding Photography For Laura & Jonathan

It was a glorious day for Laura and Jon’s Hedingham Castle Wedding photography. We couldn’t believe how hot the day was going to be though!

An early start for us for Laura and Jon’s Wedding Day. Our day began at Laura and Jon’s home where the girls were getting ready. Preparations were going well and plans were going well. The girls were ready in next to no time allowing for travelling to Hedingham Castle for the midday Wedding Ceremony. After taking a few pictures we were on our way.

Hedingham Castle looked splendid! A beautiful setting for a summer Wedding.

Taking Guest arrival pictures on the way upto the Castle and making their way into the Castle is nice to capture, which is what we did. Jon, his Best Man and Ushers had a few pictures taken before they entered the Castle. It wasn’t long before Laura and the Bridesmaids arrived.

When it was time the girls made their way along the path to the castle. A lovely Wedding Ceremony followed. Wonderful opportunities for some lovely pictures.

Laura and Jon exited the castle and made their way down the steps to grounds. the sun was everywhere, unfortunately not a lot of shade anywhere. Withe everyone’s help, many thanks, we got on with the requested pictures and this didn’t take very long at all. It was just as well as the sun was at it’s strongest then. Once finished we all made our way to the bridge for the confetti.

Time to end the Hedingham Castle wedding photography section and off to the Reception at the Rivenhall Oaks Golf Club, Witham.

Laura and Jon spent a nice time socialising with their Guests their whilst we took some informal pictures of everyone. It was lovely to catch up with Jacqueline and her family, we have known them for many years and have photographed the children several times. We couldn’t believe the children were adults now! A ride in the golf buggy beckoned for Laura and Jon and we joined them of course to take a couple of pictures.

Speeches were before the Wedding Breakfast. Following the meal Guests enjoyed sitting inside or going outside and sitting at the tables and enjoyed the evening sunshine. Later the evening celebrations started. Laura and Jon’s cutting of their amazing Wedding cake was followed by their First Dance.

Wedding Photography for Gemma & Neil – Thaxted Parish Church & Hedingham Castle

Gemma’s Parents home was the starting point of our photography coverage for Gemma and Neil’s Wedding Day.  After photographing various details and getting ready pictures we took Gemma into the lovely garden for some pictures before leaving for Thaxted Parish Church. With a lovely Church and friendly Vicar, and fine weather, we took some photographs of Neil and his Attendants, Guests, before Gemma and her Dad arrived.  The Church being large and light allowed us to take some beautiful photogaphs of Gemma and Neil as they were married. wedding-photographer-essex-thaxted parish church Following the Church service, Gemma and Neil mingled with their Guests in between a few family photographs the couple requested.  Gemma and Neil wanted a couple of pictures in Finchingfield, where we had taken their pre-wedding pictures, so the four of us made a short stop there before progressing to Hedingham Castle.  The grounds of Hedingham Castle and House made for some wonderful informal as well as formal pictures which we captured before the Wedding Breakfast commenced. wedding-photographer-essex-hedingham castle We took Gemma and Neil for a few early evening Bride and Groom portraits after the Wedding Breakfast, followed by the First Dance and a few pictures of their Evening Guests before leaving.wedding-photographer-essex-hedingham castle

Wedding Photography for Helen & Stephen – Hedingham Castle

Helen and Stephen chose the wonderful medieval castle at Castle Hedingham, Essex, for their Wedding.  It was a glorious day and with lots of Bridesmaids, Ushers, Flower Girls, Pageboys, Guests, with lots going on, the weather was an added advantage. Helen was getting ready in the Georgian House with all her attendants, which made for a fun and lively atmosphere, which made plenty of relaxed photographs.  Mark and his attendants arrived and we took them into the Moat in front of the Bridge for their pictures before they made their way to the Norman Keep where the Civil Ceremony was held. After the Ceremony, the Toastmaster, David Mills, helped us arrange the family groups so the Guests were not kept waiting too long for the Drinks Reception.  Just before the Wedding Breakfast we took Helen and Stephen for a few relaxed pictures by the Lake.  Following the Speeches and First Dance we took some pictures of evening Guests and finished with a couple of pictures of Helen and Stephen by the Keep.
