Fennes Wedding Photography for Debi & Rob

Fennes Wedding Photography for Debi & Rob

Debi and Rob booked us for Fennes Wedding Photography for their early autumn Wedding. After meeting everyone in the Bridal Room, we got on with taking pictures of the details and accessories. In between we made sure we captured the getting ready pictures of both Debi and Rob. David was with the men and once they were dressed they had some pictures taken outside as it was still dry.

A wedding Disaster!

The girls were nearly dressed but unfortunately the zip broke in the one of the Bridesmaids’ dresses! Not to worry, the only way to solve the problem was to sew the zip together! My job today, no problem! It was at this moment David returned! Good timing! David just carried on with the photography! Debi  was unaware of what was going on, which was fine by all of us! By the time Debi and the rest of the Bridesmaids were ready, the job was completed! Pictures taken and then it was time for Debi to go downstairs for the Ceremony. The plan was to have an Outdoors Ceremony but the weather put paid to that! The Guests were seated in the Pavilion and Debi came downstairs and went to the Pavilion for the Ceremony.   Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer

The Rain Stopped

A break in the rain allowed us all to go outside for the everybody shot before it started again. We got on with taking a few requested pictures using the rooms in the house during the Drinks Reception and we were able to use the steps outside for a few more. The rain did ease and we were able to go outside later on, using the Gazebo and the bridge. Fennes Wedding PhotographyDuring the rest of the afternoon we captured some informal pictures before the Guests threw confetti over Debi and Rob. The rain stopped again during the Wedding Breakfast, so in between courses we stepped outside with Debi and Rob for a few pictures. Fennes Wedding Photography

A wedding Sunset

After the Wedding Breakfast as there was time for a few more pictures of Debi and Rob around the House and as the the sun was setting, a lovely sky, both in the lane and on the bridge! Not to be missed!Recommended Wedding Photographer Fennes Evening Guests were arriving as we returned so the Wedding Cake was cut and Debi and Rob had their First Dance. Later on we said our goodbyes. A great day! Thanks to Sharon of Fennes for helping the day to go like clockwork, despite the zip mishap which held together right through the evening!

Fennes Wedding Photos for Katie & William

Fennes Wedding Photos for Katie & William

It was a delight to be back photographing at The Fennes Estate for the Wedding of Katie and Bill. Arriving at Fennes, it was sunny and preparations for the outdoor Ceremony were in full swing. Bill was with his Groomsmen getting ready in the Lodge whilst Katie was with her Mother and Bridesmaids upstairs in the newly refurbished Bridal Changing Room. After taking a few pictures  to capture Bill’s final preparations, the men were ready.  Bill and his Groomsmen had time to socialise with the Guests who were arriving after we had finished.Wedding Photographer Fennes The girls’ preparation pictures were taken and they were in the process of getting dressed. Just before we got on with Katie’s pictures, her Father came upstairs to see his daughter all dressed ready for her Wedding. Katie looked wonderful and after this moment we got on with the rest of the pictures. It was soon time for  Katie to take her Dad’s arm and make her way outside for the Ceremony in the Gazebo. A lovely setting! Recommended Wedding Photographer FennesFollowing the Ceremony the Drinks Reception was held in the gardens. Everyone enjoyed mingling, eating and drinking in the afternoon sun.  In between times we got on with the requested family group pictures ending up with some fun Bridal Party pictures. The breeze proved a bit of a nuisance during the taking of some of the pictures  but we just moved to a different area and carried on. Before the confetti pictures we took Katie and Bill for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures. Fennes Wedding Photos Recommended Wedding PhotographerThe Guests took their places for the Wedding Breakfast in the Pavilion. Katie and Bill chose to have their Speeches before the meal.  After the Wedding Breakfast we took a few informal evening pictures of Guests and a few more of  Katie and Bill in the evening light .Katie and Bill cut their Wedding Cake and went straight into their  First Dance. Escaping a while later with Katie and Bill for the Sunset picture was well worth it! As we returned to join everyone the sky all around was looking great. On the Bridge we went for one final picture, making the most of Katie and William’s Wedding Day! Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerHappy with another great set of Fennes Wedding Photos we said our ‘goodbyes”. Thank you Katie and William for a wonderful day, you are a lovely couple!

One afternoon a couple of months ago Vanessa and Malcolm came to see us for some Photos by the river  and to talk about their Renewal of Vows Ceremony at  The Fennes Estate in the summer.  Although we had met Ness and Malcolm before they now had more details to give us about their big day. This get-together also gave us the opportunity to create a few Photos by the river as a pre-wedding practice session.

Wedding Photography Fennes for Amanda & Nick

Wedding Photography Fennes for Amanda & Nick

The wonderful Fennes was the Wedding Venue chosen by Amanda an Nick for their relaxed mid afternoon Wedding. What a good choice it was! It was a nice day for their Wedding and the grounds around Fennes looked superb. Our first port of call when we arrived at Fennes was to go and see Amanda who was getting ready upstairs. Everything was running smoothly, fun and laughter was a-plenty during the preparations. Meanwhile Nick was getting ready in one of the Lodges so after capturing a few of those pictures David took a few pictures of Nick and his Groomsmen outside the House. Leaving Nick to greet the Guests in the sunshine David returned upstairs to where the girls were.  By this time the girls were dressed including the Flowergirl, Bethany. Amanda’s Father came into the room to see his daughter and then we got on with taking a few set shots.

Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer The Ceremony took place in the Pavilion with the junior Usher Callum saying a few words. Some nice moments. After the Ceremony everybody went outside to enjoy the Drinks Reception. The children amused themselves playing in the trees in the spring sunshine. A little later we got on with taking some requested family pictures, followed by some more relaxed pictures. Photography Fennes During the afternoon we took Amanda and Nick onto the Bridge for a few pictures and a walk through the trees.  The blossom was out and this made for some nice images. Amanda and Nick had some time to spend with their Guests before it was time to go through to the Pavilion for the Speeches and meal. The speeches went well, including a Speech from Amanda’s sister, Felicity, and from Amanda as well. Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerEveryone then enjoyed the Hog Roast. Later on there was time for a few evening pictures around Fennes finishing with a sunset and our ‘heart’ picture. Amanda and Nick cut their Wedding Cake when the Evening Guests arrived and then took to the dance floor for their First Dance.Wedding Photographer Fennes After taking some informal pictures during the evening, it was time for us to leave. A lovely Fennes Wedding! Thank you Amanda and Nick for asking us to photograph your Wedding Day, it flowed very nicely, we know you enjoyed it and we did too!

Pre-Wedding photo-shoot for Paula & Jason

It was lovely day when we met  Paula and Jason again in the Autumn last year for their Pre-Wedding photo-shoot. Our arranged meeting point was The Beth Chatto Gardens, Colchester.  Deciding to take some pictures of Paula and Jason first we started our wander around the superb gardens. We were spoilt for choice with the variety of different areas and made full use of them.  Happy with the pictures we took we then went for a coffee and a cake and had a chat with Paula and Jason about their Wedding at Fennes in the Spring this year.

Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David

Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David

It was a day of changeable weather for when we went for Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David. Just after we arrived at the lovely Fennes, Louisa and the girls arrived with the Flowergirls. Giving them time to settle in we went off and took a few pictures of general details around Fennes. Returning to the girls little later, everything was going well, whilst David with his Groomsmen and boys were getting ready in the Bridal Cottage.  The girls with their hair already finished then proceeded to get dressed. The men and boys were ready for some pictures first, so we got on with taking theirs. Leaving them to talk to the Guests, it was now time to turn all our attention to Louisa and the girls. After a few pictures, we had enough time to take a few bridal portraits of Louisa, before it was time for them all to go downstairs.Fennes Recommended Wedding PhotographerThe sudden shower of rain put paid to the outside Ceremony which the Fennes Staff had to quickly rearrange indoors.  Clark, Louisa and David’s son, was giving Louisa away and did a grand job of escorting her down the aisle. Following the Ceremony, the rain had stopped and it brightened up so we were able to take the requested family pictures outside. It was a good job we did them then because as we finished the big group picture it started to rain again! We captured some informal pictures of the Drinks Receptions inside and took Louisa and David into the Library for a few pictures of the two of them.Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and DavidIt was  one of those days where the sun then came out again so we managed a couple of outdoor pictures also. Just before the Wedding Breakfast everyone showered confetti over Louisa and David.  Following the Wedding Breakfast, it was time for the Speeches. After David’s Speech, Clark said more than a few words which he delivered very well indeed, emotions were running high! It turned out to be a lovely evening weather wise, garden games were available for those that wanted to play them, whilst others walked around the nice grounds of Fennes. Louisa and David had a couple of pictures taken on the bridge before a couple of pictures with all their children, Millie, Taylor, Samuel and Clark.   Fennes Wedding PhotographerThe cake cutting and First Dance took place in the Pavilion.  Finishing our coverage of Louisa and David’s Wedding Day we took a couple of night shots, as well as the’heart’shot. A wonderful set of Fennes Wedding Photographs for Louisa and David and a wonderful day.Recommended Wedding Photographer Fennes

Gosfield Nature Reserve Engagement Shoot

Gosfield Nature Reserve Engagement Shoot

Gosfield Nature Reserve Engagement Shoot for Jo and Kieran was one of our recent evening jobs. The day had been one of those days where the weather had been unpredictable, but in the end we all made the call and met there.  We were pleased we did! The sun was out, we avoided as much as we could a few muddy puddles. This was fun anyway, with Kieran giving Jo piggy-backs where necessary, captured of course! After taking a few pictures we all went to the local pub for a chat about their Wedding details and times.  Jo and Kieran are getting married at St Mary’s Church, Bocking with their Wedding Reception at The Fennes Estate soon.
