Wedding Photography for Nina & Steve – Kings Oak Hotel, High Beach, Epping

It was a very hot day when we arrived at the Premier Inn where Nina was getting ready for her Wedding.  Fortunately, we found a shady area outside in the grounds for a few pictures once Nina, her Bridesmaids and Family were ready.  Leaving them a short while later we met Steve at The Kings Oak Hotel, High Beach.  With the beautiful Epping Forest all around us we had plenty of nice areas to take some pictures of Steve and his Best Men before the arrival of the Guests.  Following the Civil Ceremony everybody enjoyed the Drinks Reception before we took a few requested family group pictures under the shade of the trees in the Forest. wedding-photographer-essex-kings-oak-hotel-high-beach Once the Guests returned to the Drinks Reception we kept Nina and Steve for a few portraits of them together before we returned and captured some informal pictures.wedding-photographer-essex-epping-forest After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches by Steve, the Best Men and Nina, there was time to enjoy the evening sunshine around the Hotel.  Keeping a watchful eye on the evening sun as it was going down and trying to anticipate when we should let Nina and Steve know when the best time would be for their sunset pictures, was well worth it, as we achieved some lovely results. wedding-photographer-essex-epping-forest Some First Dance pictures and some informal pictures of Nina and Steve’s evening Guests ended our day.

Pre-Wedding Pictures

It was nice to see Carly and Brian again one evening recently, to talk about their forthcoming Wedding in a few months time at The Bull, Long Melford.  After having a chat about their final plans we took a short walk, it could have been longer but the weather was not too kind to us, and took a few pictures of them, as well as visiting the Church they are to be married at.wedding-photographer-suffolk

Wedding Photography for Alison & Nathan – Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

It was our first visit to Jepcracks Barn, Great Totham, which is where Alison and her family were getting ready and we were very impressed.  With the converted barn being so light, it made for some nice images.  Everything was running well and being happy with what we had captured we left to go to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon.  On arrival, Guests who had arrived, were enjoying the sunshine in the grounds of Crabbs Barn. It was nice to see some familar faces again, seen at previous Weddings.  After taking a few pictures of Nathan and his Best Men, and with Nathan safely inside the Barn, Alison arrived with her Father and Bridesmaids.  Following the Civil Ceremony, everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception, in between some requested family pictures. During the afternoon a few fun Bridal Party pictures were taken and a few Bride and Groom portraits around Crabbs Barn.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn kelvedon

Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Colin – St. Peter's Church, Boxted & Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

Our day started at Rebecca’s Parents’ house with some pictures of Rebecca, together with her Parents, Bridesmaids, and James the Pageboy, who is Rebecca and Colin’s son.  All was running smoothly and some lovely images were taken.  We then made our way to St. Peter’s Church, Boxted, to take a few pictures of Colin, Best Man and Ushers, before Rebecca arrived.  The weather forecast for the rest of the day was not looking very good at all so we all decided to take the majority of the group pictures outside the Church, after the service, before the rain clouds that were lurking in the distance arrived!  What a good call that was as by the time we reached Crabbs Barn, the heavens had opened!  Whilst the Guests had the Drinks Reception, we took Rebecca and Colin for a few Bride and Groom portraits in the Barn.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, and as the rain had stopped, Rebecca, Colin, David and I went for a short stroll around Crabbs Barn for a few extra pictures before the evening Reception.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn First Dance pictures and informal pictures of Rebecca and Colin’s evening Guests were taken before we left them to enjoy the remainder of their special day.wedding-photographer-essex-crabbs barn

It was already a beautifully hot summer’s day when we arrived nice and early at Marks Hall Farmhouse at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding, and greeted Zoe, who was having the finishing touches applied to her hair and make-up.  After a few detail pictures and when Zoe was dressed we moved into the lovely lounge to create her portrait pictures using beautiful soft light from the window.wedding-photographer-essex-reid rooms Zoe and Matt’s sunflower colour scheme for their Wedding was fabulous, just right for their special day.  On arrival at St James’ Church, High Wych, David went to see Matt who was in the pub opposite, whilst I photographed Guest arrivals.  We took a few pictures of Matt and his Groomsmen outside the Church before Zoe arrived.  After the service Zoe and Matt came out of the beautiful Church and headed towards the shade to greet their Guests and have some requested pictures taken.wedding-photographer-essex-st james' church-high wych Zoe and Matt left the Church through a shower of confetti for their journey to the Reid Rooms.  A Drinks Reception awaited everybody in the courtyard at The Reid Rooms.  With ample opportunities for lovely photographs and having the time to take them we achieved some wonderful images.  Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed and time allowed us to take Zoe and Matt for a short time around the grounds for some early evening together pictures, which turned out to be great fun, thank you Zoe and Matt! wedding-photographer-essex-reid rooms Evening Guests arrived for the evening celebrations and after the First Dance we ended our day.

Wedding Photography for Sarah & Mark – Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel, Leavenheath

We arrived at Sarah’s Parents’ home for the final bridal preparations just as the heavens opened, but fortunately after this quick shower that was the end of the rain for the day.  Lots of activity was going on at home with Sarah and Mark’s daughter, Maisie, being one of the six flower girls.  All things were going well and we took some lovely pictures in the garden before making our way to St. James the Less Church, Colchester.  Photographing in this Church is great as it provides us with many different places to discreetly take pictures from.  After taking a few pictures of Mark and his Groomsmen, Sarah arrived with her Bridesmaids and Flowergirls.wedding-photographer-essex-st james the less- colchester Following the Church service and after formal picture and confetti shots we left to go to Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel & Golf Club.  Whilst Sarah and Mark’s Guests enjoyed a Drinks Reception, we took the opportunity to go to the Lake with Sarah and Mark for their pictures.  After a short interval we took a few requested family photographs before the Wedding Breakfast.  Following the Speeches, it was a lovely evening outside for the fun Bridal Party shots and evening sunset pictures, before going back inside for the First Dance.wedding-photographer-essex-stoke-by-nayland-hotel Pyrotechnics made for some brilliant photographs during the First Dance pictures before we left them all to continue the evening celebrations.wedding-photographer-essex-stoke-by-nayland-hotel
