Hedingham Castle Wedding – James & Ben

Heddingham Castle

We were happy to be asked to be the photographers for James and Ben’s Hedingham Castle Wedding. They had waited a long time for their special day and what a day it was!

The Morning

The morning of the Wedding proved to be rather wet but we had our fingers crossed that later it would be fine. James and Ben were getting ready in the Cottage so we joined them there as the preparations were taking place. Happy and chilled everyone was and we captured some of those moments. When James and Ben were ready just a few pictures were taken of them before they made their way over to the Castle.

The Wedding Guests had taken their seats and once James and Ben arrived it was time for the Ceremony. James and Ben walked in together and the Ceremony began.

Afterwards, following a few pictures inside we went outside as it had stopped raining. Guests enjoyed the drinks Reception in the Castle and came out if they were required for pictures. James and Ben were able to spend time with their Guests before taking a short time out for pictures of the two of them. The lake looked a picture especially as it was late afternoon. Although it had been raining, therefore wet underfoot, James and Ben were happy to go over to the lake. Good timing, lovely pictures.

Heddingham Castle is not one of the easiest to get sunset pictures due to the trees. This day was great as the sunset showed high into the sky!

Houchins Wedding Photography – Gemma & Scott

Houchins Wedding Photography, it was a pleasure to take Wedding pictures at this lovely Wedding Venue. We had been looking forward to this date for a while. Knowing Gemma for many years, it was lovely to be asked to do the photography Gemma and Scott’s Houchins Wedding.

As forecast the weather was not at all kind to us when we arrived on the morning of the Wedding. First of all we went off to find Gemma who was getting ready in the Bridal room with her family and Bridesmaids.

Preparations were going well, lots of chatting and laughter as well. We got on with taking pictures of Gemma’s Wedding Dress and accessories. Scott and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the Farmhouse. Once they were ready we were able to take them through to the Drawing Room for a few pictures.

Meanwhile the girls were progressing nicely upstairs. Gemma was being helped by her Mum and Bridesmaids. When Gemma was ready we took couple of pictures upstairs before going downstairs.

The rain stopped in time

After some pictures it was time to go across the way to the Wedding Ceremony. Wonderfully, the rain had stopped at just the right time! As the ground was very wet when Gemma came out of the Farmhouse, holding onto the back of her dress was no problem, stopping it from getting wet. Gemma looked lovely coming along the path with her Dad towards the Gazebo where Scott and the Guests were waiting.

The Wedding Ceremony commenced and aftewards the Guests lined the path so they could throw confetti.

Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne & Barry

Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne & Barry

Our Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography for Joanne and Barry started in the morning at Joanne and Barry’s home. Jo was getting ready there with her Bridesmaids. All preparations were running smoothly and after taking pictures of Joanne’s dress and accessories, the girls got dressed.  Joanne’s Mother and Father arrived  with Mum then assisting Joanne with the final preparations.

Vaulty Manor Wedding PhotographerAfter a few family and girls’ pictures we left them to go to Vaulty Manor.  The men were all there so we got on with taking a few pictures of them outside.  Wedding Photographer Vaulty ManorWhen it was time,  everyone made their way inside for the Civil Ceremony. Joanne arrived soon after and once she had seen the Registrars took her Father’s arm and with the Bridesmaids leading the way, followed them into Vaulty Manor. It was nice to see Susie (Registrar) again, we photographed her Wedding at Stock Brook Manor in 2006 and have also taken family pictures since. Civil Ceremony Wedding PhotographerAfter the Ceremony, the Guests went outside with hands full of confetti and waited for Joanne and Barry to appear. This they did, so after being covered in confetti we got on with taking the requested group pictures. Some fun Bridal pictures followed before Joanne and Barry had a few minutes to talk to their Guests.  The forecast was not good, so we had to keep things moving and we were aware we needed to take Joanne and Barry for their pictures.  Making sure we had brollies to hand, we went off around the grounds, achieving some nice pictures in the daffodils.Vaulty Manor Wedding Photography Finishing their pictures, the rain started to fall, and by the time Joanne and Barry were walking back to Vaulty Manor, that signalled the end of outside pictures for the day! The Greeting Line preceded the Wedding Breakfast with the Speeches following. The Best Man’s Speech was superb, very amusing and we captured some great reactions. During the evening we took a few pictures of Joanne and Barry upstairs in between the arrival of their evening Guests. Before the First Dance Joanne and Barry cut their Wedding Cake, then the Guests joined them on the dance floor. Not long afterwards, it was time for us to say goodbye.  A lovely day!

Location Engagement photoshoot

It was lovely to meet Kate and Mark again for their Location Engagement photoshoot.  We chose to meet met them at their Wedding Venue, Bradbourne House, East Malling, Kent, as we had not photographed there previously. The sun made a timely appearance to lift the pictures. This being a new Venue for us, it was good to have a look around ahead of  Kate and Mark’s Wedding Day so we would have an idea which locations we might use on the wedding day.

St Albans Cathedral Wedding Photography for Sophie & Steven

St Albans Cathedral Wedding – A privilege and delight to photograph a Wedding at this beautiful and stunning Venue. We were very pleased  to be asked to photograph Sophie and Steven’s Wedding at St. Albans Cathedral. Sophie and Steven were able to get married in St Albans Cathedral as they both went to University in the city.  Our day started at St. Michael’s, Manor Hotel in St Albans, where Sophie, her family and Bridesmaids were getting ready.  With lots going on there was much to photograph. Wedding Photographer Hertfordshire Once the Bridesmaids were ready we took a few pictures in the garden.  A breeze got up just as we were about to take some pictures of Sophie so we had to quickly find sheltered spot, not quite what we planned but we have to live with these things! Leaving them we then went to the Cathedral where  Steven was greeting some of the Guests as we arrived so in between we took Steven and his Groomsmen for their pictures.  It wasn’t long before the Bridesmaids arrived and waited with the Dean in the North Churchyard for the arrival of Sophie. With the Guests seated Sophie took her Father’s arm and made her entrance through the Pilgrim Door into the Cathedral and into the Lady Chapel.  A beautiful service followed allowing us to capture some lovely moments.  Sophie and Steven then led their Guests from the Lady Chapel to the West doors. Wedding Photographer Essex Outside, they then had a few minutes greeting their Guests before we took an everybody picture, followed by some requested family Groups.  Sophie and Steven were showered in rose petals before the guests left for the reception while the happy couple had a few pictures themselves in the Cathedral and around the grounds with David.  Meanwhile the Guests and I made their way to pick up the Routemaster bus  to the Wedding Reception at Shenley Cricket Club, Radlett. On arrival at Shenley Cricket Club the Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception and it wasn’t long before Sophie and Steven arrived.  Grace, Sophie’s sister then entertained everybody with her wonderful singing, providing some emotional moments, captured of course! After catching up on a few small group shots it was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast held in the Marquee. Coverage of the Speeches followed before a break before the evening celebrations. This allowed us to take Sophie and Steven for a few moments for a some of them in the soft evening light.Hertfordshire Wedding PhotographerDuring the evening we took some informal pictures of their evening Guests as well as speaking to familiar faces that earlier in the day we didn’t have time to speak to. Sophie and Steven cut their Wedding Cake just before the First Dance and with a sunset completed we were happy with our work for the day, it was time for us to say goodbye. A wonderful day!

Wedding Photographer Parklands Quendon Hall

Wedding Photographer Parklands –  Sian and Liam’s Wedding at Parklands, Quendon Hall, was held on a beautifully warm day.  Sian with her Daughter Holly and the Bridesmaids were getting ready and all things were going well.  Meanwhile Liam was with his Best Men making their final preparations.Essex Wedding Photographer Once the men were ready a few pictures of them were taken outside.   Back to Sian for a few pictures of the girls together with Sian’s parents.  As always, weddings provide many emotional moments, but the moment when Sian’s Dad saw his daughter for the first time in her Wedding Dress was so extremely emotive for all of us!  With things back on track and time moving swiftly on, it was time for Sian to take her Dad’s arm and go down the stairs for the Civil Ceremony.  With all the Guests seated Sian made her entrance for the Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, Sian and Liam led their Guests outside to enjoy the Drinks Reception in the sunshine.Wedding Photographer Essex After a while we took the requested family group pictures but doing these in the minimum time as the temperature was rising! Later after the fun bridal pictures it was time for Sian and Liam’s ‘together’ pictures around the grounds.  After Sian and Liam had their Caricatures drawn by Josie Camus  and then being showered in confetti it was time for the Wedding Breakfast. Essex Wedding Photographer During the Wedding Breakfast  Sian, Liam and their Guests were treated to surprise performance from ‘The Singing Waiters” , which was then followed by the Speeches. Afterwards everybody enjoyed socialising inside Parklands or outside in the evening sunshine. After the arrival of Sian and Liam’s evening Guests it was time for their First Dance.  Before leaving we managed to escape for a few minutes with Sian and Liam to do a few evening pictures and end our coverage of their day.Essex Wedding Photographer

Wedding Photography Hunters Meet, Hatfield Heath, for Mel & Ollie

Wedding Photography Hunters Meet – It was a wet start when we travelled to Mel and Ollie’s house for Mel’s final bridal preparations. When we arrived Mel was having the finishing touches to her hair and make-up, giving us time to photograph the details and accessories.  Once Mel was ready, a few pictures were taken of Mel and her Bridesmaids inside as it was still rather wet outside.  As luck would have it, when we were ready to leave for the Church, it had stopped raining and the sky was brighter.Essex Wedding Photographer

St Mary The Virgin Church, Debden was where we met Ollie and his Groomsmen and managed to get a few pictures of all of them before they continued to carry out their duties.   It wasn’t long before Mel and her Mother arrived in her Grandad’s classic Austin car and after a couple of pictures they entered the Church.

Essex Wedding Photographer

Following the service Mel and Ollie spent a few minutes talking to their Guests, then it was time to quickly get on with the requested family pictures as the clouds were threatening more rain.  Confetti followed the photographs before we all left for the Reception. Wedding Photographer Essex

When Mel and Ollie arrived at Hunters Meet Hotel, the Austin was driven into the Garden where their racing Mini car was, so they could have some special pictures taken. Making sure Mel and Ollie spent some time with their Guests, we spent our time getting some informal pictures.  Although the weather was fine the rain clouds were on their way again!  We took Mel and Ollie for their pictures, taking some other small group pictures before the ‘everybody’ shot was a good move.  No sooner as we had finished our last picture, the rain started!  How fortunate they were!  The heavens opened and continued for some time. With everybody inside it was time for the Wedding Breakfast followed by the Speeches before the evening Reception.  Later Mel and Ollie’s Evening Guests arrived and just before their First Dance we went onto Hatfield Heath itself for a few evening images, not quite the sunset we hoped for but a little colour in the clouds made up for it.  Essex Wedding Photographers

Our coverage of Mel and Ollie’s Wedding Day finished a little while later.

The Waterfront Dovercourt – Wedding Photography for Rebecca & Andrew

The Waterfront Dovercourt, is a new Wedding Venue for us and we were looking forward to Rebecca and Andrew’s Wedding with great anticipation.  Rebecca and Andrew originally wanted to book us for their Wedding on a different date but we were already booked, so they moved their date to one we could do! The pressure was on!  We arrived at Rebecca’s Parents’ house on the morning of the Wedding,  just before Rebecca returned from the Hairdressers.  With all of Rebecca’s accessories laid out we got on and photographed them for their book.  Rebecca’s Mum and Sister helped her get dressed and we captured some nice moment shots when the Flowergirls, Katelyn and Rebecca, and Pageboy, Reuben, saw Rebecca in her Wedding Dress.  Time was evaporating very quickly but we managed to take a few family pictures before leaving for the Church.

Essex Wedding Photographer

All Saints Church, Dovercourt was where Rebecca and Andrew were to be married.  Andrew, his Best Man and Ushers were busy with their duties but we managed to take a few pictures of them before taking some pictures of the Wedding Guests arriving.Essex Wedding Photographer

With everybody inside the Church, it was not long before Rebecca arrived.  Following the service we arranged some family group portraits  in the church grounds.  It was a beautifully hot day but we made sure we didn’t keep everybody standing around for any more time than was necessary for the photographs.  After the confetti pictures, Rebecca and Andrew and their guests, left for the Wedding Reception at The Waterfront Dovercourt.

Essex Wedding Photographer

After a couple of pictures with the car outside the Venue, Rebecca and Andrew went inside to get a break from the sun and to greet their Guests during the Drinks Reception. Their Guests were entertained by George, The Wedding Artist, a Caricaturist, who was superb!   After a little while Rebecca, Andrew and the Bridal Party crossed the road to the beach and we took a few fun pictures and a couple of Rebecca and Andrew by themselves.

Essex Wedding Photographer

Rebecca and Andrew greeted their Guests in the Receiving Line before the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches followed and after that there was an interval before the evening Reception. Wedding Photograher Essex

It was during this time we took Rebecca and Andrew for a few more pictures before the evening Guests arrived and before the First Dance.  Wow!  What a fantastic rehearsed First Dance! Letting us in on their secret we provided them with some fabulous images! In our planning with Rebecca and Andrew before the day they requested a sunset picture at Harwich Pier which would be after the First Dance. We made sure our car had had a good clean, as that was the transportation to the Pier! We wanted these pictures as much as Rebecca and Andrew and thankfully neither of us were disappointed! In next to no time we were back to The Waterfront. Wedding Photographer Essex

A little while later it was time to say goodbye.  A lovely couple and thank you Rebecca and Andrew for inviting us to be part of your wonderful day.  As for The Waterfront Dovercourt it is a very nice new venue with friendly staff and we look forward to working there again.
