Great Hallingbury Manor Wedding Photography for Michelle & Chris

Great Hallingbury Manor Wedding Photography for Michelle & Chris – Michelle and Chris chose the contemporary Great Hallingbury Manor, Bishops Stortford, for their Wedding.  Our first port of call when we arrived was where the girls were getting ready in The Bridal Suite. Excitement, laughter, fun, was evident when we saw them with all preparations going well. Giving Michelle and Chris a short breather before a few of their together pictures was the right call as just before the ‘everybody’ shot, and the Wedding Breakfast we took some nice pictures of the two of them.  After the Wedding Breakfast, the Speeches began.  An unexpected heavy downpour occurred fortunately whilst the Speeches were going on and luckily by the time they finished so had the rain. natural wedding photography Herts and EssexWith the ground drier, we took Michelle and Chris over to the lake for a few pictures.  As their Evening Guests arrived, and enjoyed the warm evening air, as the sun went down, Michelle and Chris ended up with some nice evening pictures. sunset wedding photos Essex Their First Dance was a surprise to the Guests except the Bridal Party.  Michelle and Chris started off by themselves for a very very short amount of time then were joined by the Bridal Party for an incredible routine.  Well done to all of them!  After taking a few pictures of their Evening Guests, it was time for us to go. A long but such a rewarding day!

Wedding Photography for Ashley & Simon – St Andrew’s Church, Hempstead & Spains Hall, Finchingfield

An early start for us for Ashley & Simon’s Wedding as Ashley was getting ready at Crest Lodge, Spains Hall, before leaving to go to St. Andrew’s Church, Hempstead.  On arrival, the girls were having their make-up applied by the superb make-up artist, Alexis Day. A wonderful atmosphere and some lovely pictures to take.   We photographed Ashley in the garden together with her Parents and Bridesmaids before leaving for the Church.  Following the Church service most of the group pictures were taken outside the Church door as this made a lovely setting. wedding-photographer-essex-st andrews church hempstead Ashley and Simon left the Church after being showered in confetti and made their way to Spains Hall, Finchingfield.  Guests congregated inside and outside the House during the Drinks Reception as did Ashley and Simon, before we went for a short walk around the splendid grounds of Spains Hall for Ashley and Simon’s romantic pictures. wedding-photographer-essex-spains hall Being a beautiful day, the stunning backdrops of Spains Hall made Ashley and Simon’s together pictures even better.  Making sure Ashley and Simon had time to speak to their Guests, after a little while, the Bridal Party made their way to the front of Spains Hall for some fun bridal party pictures before being joined by everybody else.  After the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, evening Guests arrived and shortly the First Dance.  Following the First Dance, we took a couple of pictures of Ashley and Simon outside The Stables, before we left. wedding-photographer-essex-spains hall

Styles of Photography

Styles of Photography available in the wedding photography market:-

Standard – Lots of group pictures and straight forward often unflattering Bride & Groom pictures.

Classical – carefully arranged formal pictures making everyone look their best before the picture is taken. You and you guests may need patience.

Reportage – capture the action without interfering with the couples day (often now called ‘Documentary’ as Reportage sometimes has a poor reputation). When we see great examples of ‘Documentary’ wedding photography it is often because the couple have been coached before the day in what is expected!

Lifestyle – lots of Photoshop to mess up the colours and give the pictures a ‘modern’ look. Couples in natural (not always flattering) poses.

We like to think of our Wedding Photography as contemporary Story telling. We are happy to capture real action if it looks good but we are also happy to encourage ‘moments’ to happen! Family groups and Classical pictures are usually required but do not have to take the whole day and we work in a fairly informal way. By photographing our couples at some point during their Engagement they are generally more relaxed on the big day and understand how we would like them to stand to make them look their best. Why not contact us and see what a whole wedding looks like?
