It was a lovely day for Becky and Marcus’ Church Wedding at Lavenham and their Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography and reception. Becky, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready at The Swan, Lavenham. When we arrived there earlier in the day preparations were well underway. We stayed a while in the room where the preparations were going capturing a few of these pictures before going off to photograph Becky’s Wedding Dress and accessories in another room. Returning to the girls it was time for the Bridesmaids to go and get changed and Becky followed soon after. With lots going on and time evaporating extremely quickly everyone was very focused!
David decided to go to the Church during changing whilst I remained with the girls. So good to have the Church just up the road! Once Becky and the Bridesmaids were ready, I just took a couple of pictures of them before Becky’s Father came upstairs to see his daughter. It is one of those moments I love and I was happy to be there. My turn now to get my skates on and leave them and make my way to the St Peter & St Paul Church.David had taken the pictures of Marcus and his Groomsmen and they were inside the Church awaiting the arrival of Becky. The Bridesmaids and Becky arrived and entered the Church. After the service Becky and Marcus came out of the Church and went off to the side to allow their Guests to exit. The guests lined the path and showered the happy couple! At the Church we took the few requested family pictures before leaving to go to Smeetham Barn.
Drinks awaited everyone at Smeetham. After Becky and Marcus had some social time we went over to the House and grounds for a few pictures of them. Enjoying the weather everyone socialised outside and we got on with taking some informal pictures. Soon it was time for the Wedding Breakfast followed by the Speeches. Some great reactions captured!
As the time before the Wedding Breakfast had been a little short, the Bridal Party and us went over to the lake for a few fun relaxed pictures after the meal. Keeping Becky and Marcus a little while longer, we took a few more pictures of them by the water. Returning to their Guests as the Evening Guests were now arriving.
Becky and Marcus had time to socialise for a while.Later they cut their Wedding cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance.
Smeetham Barn is a lovely place if you get a sunset and Becky and Marcus did. A fantastic way to end our coverage of their Wedding. Thank you Becky and Marcus for letting us be your Wedding Photographers, a wonderful Wedding!
This was a Parklands Quendon Hall Wedding for Sarah and and Gordon earlier this year. We arrived at Parklands in the morning and went to see Sarah who was getting ready within the House in the Changing Rooms. Preparations were going well but it was busy with several Bridesmaids having hair and make up done. Gordon and his Groomsmen were getting ready at Parklands as well. As soon as Gordon was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside. They then greeted the Guests.
Once Sarah’s hair and make-up were finished Sarah got dressed. As always the last hour goes so quickly but we managed to take a few pictures before Sarah was needed bythe Registrars.
The day was so hot the Guests were seated for the outdoor Ceremony very close to the time of the Ceremony, just before Sarah came downstairs. The Bridesmaids led the way outside, then Sarah took her Father’s arm and they followed. After the Ceremony Sarah, Gordon and their Guests went to the fountain at the back of Parklands for the Drinks Reception. Sarah and Gordon spent a little time with their Guests before we took some family pictures and caught up with the pictures of Sarah and the girls. A little later on we took Sarah and Gordon to the lake but this was only for a short while as the sun was so strong and they were both too hot! Guests later threw confetti over Sarah and Gordon before they all sat down for the Wedding Breakfast.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and after the meal the Speeches took place. When these were finished everyone mingled in the Pavilion as well as outside. During this time we took some evening pictures of the happy couple around the grounds as it was now a little cooler. Sarah and Gordon cut their Wedding Cake prior to the First Dance and afterwards it was time for the sunset. A nice one! We stayed a little while longer to capture some informal pictures of the evening celebrations. Happy with our coverage we said our goodbyes. A lovely day!
We were delighted to be Vaulty Manor Wedding Photographers for the Spring Wedding of Emma & Rob. The forecast for the day was that it was going to be a hot day and we were not disappointed.
When we arrived at Vaulty Manor on the morning of the Wedding it wasn’t long before we were looking for the shade! Emma was getting ready in the Bridal Suite with her Mum.
Preparations were going well so we got on with taking a few pictures of Emma’s Wedding Dress and accessories. We liked their Disney theme!
Rob and his Brother,Paul, were around the Venue sorting out a few last minute things before they went off to get ready. Preparation pictures taken, Rob and Paul got into their Wedding attire. Once they were ready they had a few pictures with the Dads with the Wedding Car.
The car was for Emma and her Dad as they were going to go for a car ride before the Ceremony. Once Rob’s pictures were finished they went into the new Reception area. Emma had a few pictures taken in the Bridal Suite once she was ready but time was evaporating at an increased rate! Emma and her Father then went off for a ride. As the Guests arrived at Vaulty Manor they went into the new Reception area which is a lovely extension to this Wedding Venue.
Before long it was time for the Guests to go into the room for the Civil Ceremony. Emma had arrived back at the Venue and after seeing the Registrars was ready to make her entrance into the room accompanied by her Father. Following the Ceremony the Guests made their way outside and waited for Emma and Rob to come out so they could cover them with confetti. As everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception we took some informal pictures. Emma and Rob wanted some family pictures taken which we took afterwards.
We couldn’t believe the swan in the grounds of the Manor House made an appearance so taking the Bride and Groom with us we went over to the pond and took a few pictures. It was such a lovely day but rather hot so we didn’t take very long in taking their pictures, they were happy and so were we to do catch up on their pictures in the evening.
It was soon time for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches followed. Rob delivered his Speech as is usual for the Groom, finishing it off with a magic trick. The pressure was on, especially as there was a Magician in the room! Brilliant! It worked, well done, Rob! After the Wedding Breakfast the Magician entertained the Guests whilst we took Emma and Rob around the grounds to catch on a few pictures we didn’t do earlier. Wonderful light, lovely pictures. In addition the Swan made another appearance!
Once the Band had set up Emma and Rob cut their Wedding Cake and had their First Dance. During the evening we took a few pictures of the evening Guests then made ourselves scarce for a little while. Later it was time for Sunset, Sparklers and as a surprise for everyone there were Fireworks. Once these were finished we said our goodbyes. Thank you Rob and Emma for being such a lovely couple to work with, a very enjoyable day with some wonderful pictures!
So nice to catch up with Sam and Craig again as we photographed their Wedding at Crabbs Barn in 2015.
Another Essex Wedding Photographer Testimonial email to us before the couple had even seen a picture!
We can not thank you enough for being part of our special day. All our guests said how lovely you both were, and how your passion for photography really shows through. Myself and alex both enjoyed the photos being taken on the day and you made us both feel so comfortable. We did not feel at all like we were on an all day photo shoot. We really can not wait to see the photos and put the album book together with you.
Jemma and Nick were married earlier this year at Clare Priory with their Reception at Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury which is where Jemma and Nick were getting ready. Jemma was being assisted by her Bridesmaids and preparations were going well. Meanwhile Nick was being helped by his Groomsmen in a different part of the Hotel.
Both sets of preparations pictures were very relaxed and good fun. Once Nick was ready we took a few pictures of him with his Groomsmen outside The Mill Hotel before he set off for Clare Priory. The girls were soon ready for their pictures and we took those in the room. It was then time for David and I to set off for Clare Priory. The Church of Clare Priory is lovely and located in a picturesque setting. When we arrived Nick and his Groomsmen were greeting some Guests but we had time to take a few pictures of them before they carried on with their duties. A little while later Jemma arrived with her Father and the Bridesmaids. When everyone was seated in the Church, Jemma made her entrance. The lighting of a Candle started the service. After the service the Wedding Guests mingled whilst we spent a few minutes in the gardens outside the Church taking a few pictures of Jemma and Nick. Before leaving the Guests threw confetti over Jemma and Nick.
Smeetham Hall Barn looked wonderful on this bright, sunny, spring day. Jemma and Nick had time to spend with their Guests and enjoy their Drinks Reception before we carried on with a few more pictures around Smeetham Hall Barn. Time was getting on and the Wedding Breakfast was next. Jemma and Nick decided to have the Speeches before the meal. Shortly after the meal Jemma and Nick cut their Wedding Cake and took to the dance floor for their First Dance. As it was such a lovely day, sunset beckoned! Happy with our coverage of Jemma and Nick’s Wedding a little later we left them to continue the celebrations. A lovely couple and a wonderful day! Congratulations Jemma and Nick!
Susannah and Daniel booked us for Evening Wedding Photography when they were married at the popular Crabbs Barn earlier in the year.
When we arrived at Crabbs Barn, Susannah was almost ready and we had enough time to take a few pictures of her and her family. The weather was fine to take some pictures outside the Bridal Room. The sun going down was a bonus and provided a nice setting. Daniel had a few pictures taken before going in to the Barn for the Ceremony.
Following the Ceremony for a few minutes we took Susannah and Daniel off for a few pictures whilst the Guests were served drinks. Susannah and Daniel had time to mingle with their Guests for a short time afterwards.
In the Barn we took a few requested family pictures. Joshua, Susannah and Daniel’s eighteen month old son had a few pictures as well. Before everyone had something to eat we all went outside where the Guests threw confetti over Susannah and Daniel. A couple of informal Speeches took place later. The Band had set up and after the cutting of the cake Susannah took to the dance floor for their First Dance. Our final pictures of the evening were a little later and after that we said our goodbyes. A lovely couple and a nice relaxed Wedding.
Easton Grange Wedding Photography for Karly and Mark. This was our first time photographing a Wedding at this wonderful venue.
The Winter so far had not been the best so we had our fingers crossed their day there would be a change for their day. Although chilly, it was a bright day when we arrived at Easton Grange and we went off to meet Karly and the girls.
There was laughter and lots going on in the Bridal Changing Room. Karly, her Bridesmaids and Madison, Karly’s daughter were busy getting ready.
Mark was getting ready in the Bakehouse so after a little while David went off to see the men.
Preparations were going well, pictures of Karly’s Wedding Dress and Accessories were take as well as capturing some nice informal moments. In the other camp Marka nd his Groomsmen were getting ready and once they were ready they made their way to the Barn.
There was time for their pictures to be taken just before the Coach bringing the Wedding Guests arrived. Mark and his Groomsmen then greeted the Guests. Meanwhile the girls were getting dressed as the time was going very fast. Once they were dressed a few pictures were taken before it was time for the Wedding Ceremony.
Everyone was seated in the Ceremony Barn ready for the entrance of Karly. Karly looked amazing as she walked down the aisle and joined Mark at the front of the Barn. After the Ceremony, everyone moved to the area between the two Barns for the Drinks Reception. As the wind was blowing and it was not very warm we decided to take the requested family groups in the Barn a little later on. After Karly and Mark had time to spend with their Guests we took them and the Bridal Party outside for a few pictures. The sun was shining and we captured some good fun pictures. Karly and Mark wanted a picture on the bridge over the river. Unfortunately, due to the recent wet weather it was flooded. Nevertheless, we made good use of the grounds around Easton Grange for their pictures.
During the afternoon we also took some informal shots of the Guests.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Celebratory Barn. Karly and Mark chose to do the Speeches then have the meal. We took Karly and Mark outside between courses for a couple of pictures as the sun was setting. Once the meal was finished everyone went out of the Barn so it could be turned around for the evening celebrations. It was nice that many of the Guests then went outside into the Courtyard for the ‘Sparklers’ pictures. What great pictures!
it was then time for us to leave them all to continue with their evening celebrations. Thank you Karly and Mark for asking us to be your Wedding Photographers.
We had a lovely day! Congratulations!
It was a pleasure to provide Leez Priory Winter Wedding Photography for Robyn & AlanRobyn and Alan. When we arrived at Leez Priory we went to see Robyn who was getting ready with her Mother, Bridesmaids and Flowergirls in the Main House. Robyn’s Gran joined them and enjoyed watching all the preparations. David then went off to find Alan and his Best Men who were getting ready at Leez Priory as well. Alan is his uniform looked very smart and when all of them were ready they had a few pictures taken in front of Leez Priory. Meanwhile the girls were in the final stages of their preparations. Once ready, we got on with taking a few pictures of Robyn and her party in the wonderful atmosphere of Leez Priory.
Whilst this was happening the Guests were arriving with the Piper playing them in as they made their way into the Great Hall for the Ceremony. Soon it was time for Robyn to take her Father’s arm to go to the Great Hall. The winter sun was shining through the windows as Robyn and Alan exchanged their vows. After the Ceremony, although it was a chilly, it was dry and sunny so we went outside to take some requested pictures. Finishing with the confetti pictures Robyn and Alan had time to mingle with their Guests inside the House while we captured some informal pictures. We took Robyn and Alan for a short walk around the grounds for their pictures together.
Not long after we returned it was time for the Guests and Robyn and Alan to make their way unto the Coach House for the Wedding Breakfast. We just love capturing these natural pictures. Following the Wedding Breakfast it was time for the Speeches. Emotion and laughter captured! Once these were over, everyone made their way back to the House for the evening celebrations. As the lights were on Leez Priory we took a couple of pictures of Robyn and Alan with Leez Priory in the background before the First Dance. Robyn and Alan performed a rehearsed First Dance which was brilliant. After capturing a few images of the evening we then said our ‘goodbyes’. A wonderful day!
