It was a beautiful day for Kelly and Ben’s Fennes Outdoor Wedding. Both Kelly and Ben were getting ready at Fennes so David and I went our separate ways to photograph the preparations. In both camps preparations were going well. The Flowergirl, Ophelia, was happy drawing and colouring whilst watching the preparations, waiting patiently for her turn to get dressed.
Once Ben and his Groomsmen were ready they came over to the House. After Ben had opened his present from Kelly he had a few pictures taken with his Best Man and Ushers. Upstairs, Kelly and her Bridesmaids were getting dressed with Mum assisting Kelly and were all soon ready for some pictures.
Guests who had been socialising outside and others who were arriving made their way to the area for the Ceremony. Ben escorted Kelly’s Mother over to the Gazebo for the Ceremony as Kelly came down the stairs and was greeted by her Father. After seeing the Registrars, Kelly and the girls had a few minutes before leaving the Gold Room and going outside. Some lovely pictures against a wonderful backdrop as they joined everybody.
After the Ceremony everyone enjoyed the Drinks Reception entertained by the String Quartet. Timings were fine allowing time for Kelly and Ben to socialise as well as taking their requested pictures. A nice relaxing afternoon gave us time to take a variety of pictures but without keeping Kelly and Ben for long periods of time away from their Guests. Before the Wedding Breakfast the Guests showered Kelly and Ben in confetti.
After the Wedding Breakfast it was time for the Speeches. Once these were finished as it was such a lovely evening, the light was good we went outside for a few more pictures. Finishing off as we returned to the Pavilion we took a couple of pictures in the house. After the evening Guests had arrived it was time for cutting the Wedding Cake and the First Dance. Kelly and Ben were joined on the dance floor by their Guests. Our coverage of Kelly and Ben’s Wedding ended with a lovely sunset. A great day and a lovely couple. It was good to work with Philip Smith Visuals as well.
Wedding Photographs Fennes – The popular friendly Wedding Venue, The Fennes near Braintree, Essex, was Kristen and Andrew’s choice for their Wedding Day. Arriving at Fennes, Kristen was busily getting ready upstairs with the Bridesmaids and Flowergirls. Preparations were going well, so with keeping an eye on developments together with taking some detail pictures, it was busy! David sought out the men who were almost ready and when they were, there was time for some pictures to be taken. For a change David took Andrew, with his Best Man, Andy, out the back of Fennes for their pictures, even though it was raining. Pleased with the results they returned to the house. Meanwhile, Kristen was in the final stages of getting dressed and soon ready for some pictures.
Equally some lovely pictures captured of Kristen and the girls. In no time at all it was time for the Wedding Ceremony. With the Guests seated the Flowergirls led the way into the Pavilion followed by the Bridesmaids and Kristin escorted by her Father. Following the Ceremony, Kristen and Andrew led their Guests to the front of Fennes for the Drinks Reception.
Unable to go outside at that particular time due to the continuing rain, the Wedding Guests made themselves comfortable in the rooms in Fennes, leaving us the Gold Room to take some pictures of the happy couple. A short while after the rain stopped, we all went outside for a few pictures, making good use of the steps. Later after socialising with their Guests, Kristen changed her footwear so we could venture further outside for their pictures. Kristen and Andrew wanted to make the most of the superb grounds for their wedding photography, so off we went, for a short tour! An enjoyable time, resulting in some lovely pictures for them.
Once they were back indoors the Guests threw confetti over Kristen and Andrew before the guests made their way to the Pavilion for the Wedding Breakfast. This allowed a few minutes for some pictures of Kristin and Andrew in the Red Room, before they also made their entrance into the Pavilion. Speeches followed the meal and then the Pavilion was prepared for the evening celebrations. After their evening Guests arrived in time for cutting the Wedding Cake shortly prior to the First Dance. Some lovely moments captured! Our coverage of Kristin and Andrew”s Wedding Day finished with their ‘sparklers’. A great day!
Wedding Photography Fennes – It was a beautiful day when we arrived at The Fennes Estate for Jenna and Peter’s Wedding. Jenna was getting ready upstairs in the House, assisted by her Mum and the Bridemaids. All plans were going well and it wasn’t long before Jenna was ready to get dressed. As this was happening, David was photographing the men who were ready for their pictures. The grounds at Fennes looked splendid in the brilliant sunshine and provided a nice backdrop for Peter’s and his Groomsmen’s pictures. After Peter had met with some of the Guests and with the Registrars, he moved down into the Pavilion. Once Jenna had seen the Registrars, it was time for the Civil Ceremony. With her Bridesmaids leading the way, Jenna and her Dad entered the Pavilion. After the Ceremony the Drinks Reception was held at the front of Fennes where Jenna and Peter mingled with their Guests for a little while. Jenna wanted a ‘heart’ everybody shot which were were happy to do, thank you to Nicola of Fennes for helping us! Following a few requested family group pictures and a break for Jenna and Peter, we took them over to the Bridge and around the grounds for their pictures, using the daffodils and blossom. Looking for some different pictures at our Weddings is our aim and it was nice to achieve this today. Jenna and Pete were then showered in confetti in the Gold Room before the Wedding Breakfast. We covered the Speeches which were before the evening reception. Whilst the Guests were arriving we managed to steal Jenna and Peter away for a very short time for a couple of evening pictures, finishing with a sunset picture or so we thought! This evening we had a full moon! Right time, right place, brilliant! Jenna and Peter’s First Dance followed and we took a few informal pictures of their evening guests. During the evening it was nice to see some familiar faces, and thank you to Katie and Gavin again for recommending us! A brilliant day and thank you to the staff and Fennes for looking after us as always.
We work regularly at Fennes but are always looking for something new. Last year we created the heart shot on the stairs (which is now regularly copied by others!). This year we have been trying to find something a little different particularly with the Fennes bridge. A couple of weeks ago we were about to finish for the night when I noticed the moon rising behind the bridge – a opportunity not to be missed! Not perfect but we like the result. Always something new to see….. and yes the moon was actually rising at that point it is not a Photoshop invention!
We were delighted to receive this ‘Thank You’ from Olivia and Jonathan, whose Wedding we photographed very recently at The Fennes:-
“I would like to say the biggest thank you to you both for your hard work on our perfect wedding day. You were both great and honestly couldn’t ask for any better. You both honestly were the best people for the job and I will be recommending you to everyone and anyone.
Like I said myself and Jon couldn’t of asked for any other two people to help capture those special moments!!!”
