Katie and Daniel came to see us just before their Wedding and pre-wedding pictures. The wedding was last year at Fennes. They came with their children, Jake and Belle and it was nice to meet them before the Wedding.
After a coffee and a chat and filling in the details about their Wedding, we all went off to take a few pictures. Getting to know our clients before their big day is really important to us and we find a brief time in different surroundings provides an opportunity of getting to know each other better.
Out of the blue in the Autumn last year we received a phone call from Val who wanted some Environmental Portraits. We last saw Val about eight years ago. We first met Val and Matt a few years prior to that when we too pictures of their first son Jake. Again for their son Oli and then again for their daughter Lexi!
Our conversation lasted a long time catching up on their lives since their return to the UK! Val and Matt’s family had now increased by three! Val and Matt wanted some informal environmental pictures taken of their family. A date and day was chosen and how lucky we were with the weather. We couldn’t of asked for a better Autumn day.
Portraits in the park!
Off to the park we went! What a time we had, ending up with a variety of pictures. It was great to meet Sam and the twins, Frankie and Ben for the first time and as well as seeing the rest of the family. It was a privilege to provide Val and Matt with a book of the memories of their family.
Smeetham Hall Barn Wedding Photography – Rosie & Ross
Rosie and Ross chose the wonderful Smeetham Hall Barn, Bulmer, as their venue for their Wedding. Our day started at The Mill Hotel, Sudbury, where Rosie, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready. After taking a few getting ready pictures and pictures of Rosie’s Wedding Dress and Accessories, the girls got dressed. Whilst this was happening we had found a good area for taking a few pictures of them. This was only a few steps from the room they were in. Luckily, we didn’t come into contact with any Guests going to the Wedding! It was a good spot, we worked quickly as we had to leave to get to Smeetham Hall Barn. Arriving at Smeetham Hall Barn, Ross was greeting a few Guests. Once we had got all the Groomsmen together we took a few pictures of them after which they resumed their duties. Rosie arrived and after seeing the Registrars, with the Bridesmaids leading the way walked into the Barn, accompanied by her Father.
The Barn looked wonderful
The Barn looked wonderful, decorated by W.Flowers. After the Ceremony, everyone went outside and enjoyed the Drinks Reception. The weather was lovely and Rosie and Ross were able to take full advantage off socialising and having pictures around the grounds.
Following the requested group pictures. Rosie and Ross resumed mingling with their Guests.
During the afternoon we took the Bridal Party to the lawn infant of the House for some pictures and whilst we were there we took Rosie & Ross’ ‘together’pictures. We rounded off the afternoon pictures with the the throwing of confetti. It was then time for the Wedding Breakfast and afterwards the Speeches. Straight after the Speeches, Rosie, Ross and ourselves headed away from the Guests to the fields at the back of Smeetham. Well worth the mini trek! When we returned the Evening Guests had arrived. It was time for the cake cutting and the First Dance. Capturing a few informal pictures after it was then time for us to say our ‘goodbyes’. A great day, and a nice couple.
Jo and Keiran got in touch with us in the Autumn last year to to do some Family Photography. It was a great delight to hear from them two years after we saw them last after photographing their Wedding at Fennes. Now they are the proud Parents of a baby boy called Toby and wanted us to take some pictures of them as a family and some pictures of Toby on his own. . We had a lovely time at their home taking these pictures for them as well as meeting Toby for the first time, he was so good! We are looking forward to seeing them again soon.
Event Photography is another one of the things we do that perhaps we don’t promote enough . It was a delight to cover the arrivals at this years Ball which was a Highland Dance. There was of course a Piper and Haggis as you would expect!.
All the guests got in the mood with either highland attire or a splash of tartan.
