Fennes Wedding Photographers for Jodie & Oliver

Fennes Wedding Photographers for Jodie & Oliver

Jodie and Oliver chose the superb Fennes as the Wedding Venue to host their Civil Ceremony and Reception in the Autumn last year. The Bridal Room at Fennes was busy with final preparations taking place when we got there. Jodie’s Wedding Dress and shoes etc, were moved moved to the Fennes Suite for us to photograph them. Oliver and his Groomsmen were ready for their pictures.  The weather was good, dry and bright, so there were several places for their pictures outside away from the girls. Once these were taken David who then rejoined the girls.  Once Jodie was dressed, her Father came upstairs to see her before we got on with taking a few pictures. After these pictures, it was time for everyone to make their way downstairs.  Recommended Wedding Photographer FennesThe Pavilion looked lovely, the set up for Jodie and Oliver’s Wedding was the other way today. After seeing the Registrars it was time for the Ceremony.  Jodie and her Father followed the Bridesmaids into the Pavilion. Deciding to get on with the requested family pictures so they were then out the way worked well.We were able to capture plenty of moments during the afternoon as they all enjoyed the Reception.  Later on we took some fun  Bridal party pictures and had a short time before the Wedding Breakfast to go with Jodie and Oliver around Fennes for their pictures. Fennes Wedding PhotographersThe Pavilion had been turned around for the Wedding Breakfast and this happened shortly afterwards. After the Speeches we took Jodie and Oliver for a little while for some evening pictures inside and outside of Fennes.Fennes Recommended Wedding Photographer Jodie and Oliver cut their Wedding Cake and then took to the dance floor for their First Dance.  It was later that we left them to continue the evening celebrations and party. Outdoor family photos

In the Autumn last year we photographed Chloe, Simon and Jayden. They had purchased a gift voucher from us and now wanted some outdoor family photos. Chloe and Simon wanted some pictures of  Jayden on his own as it was his Birthday.  We located a suitable wooded area not far from where they live in Braintree so we went there to take the pictures. What a good choice!  It was early morning, no-one around, a dry day and leaves galore!  A lovely family and some nice pictures.

Some of the other work we get involved in is PR photography, mostly local, occasionally other areas in South-East England. This was a job for a Construction Company who are promoting to enlist Apprentices. Joel has been through the system and was selected to be the role model. The site was the old Warley Hospital which has now been redeveloped into high quality apartments and houses. The brief was to incorporate the subject with the beautiful buildings both in his PPE site clothing and business suit. PR Photography Essex

Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel

Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel

We were looking forward to being Wedding Photographer Marks Hall for Hannah & Daniel in the Autumn last year. Having known Hannah for a long time it was a pleasure to be part of Hannah and Daniel’s special day. Our day started at Hannah’s Parents’ house, where Hannah was getting ready with the Bridesmaids. Whilst preparations were going on we took a few pictures of the accessories (loved Hannah’s shoes!) and details.

Essex Wedding PhotographerEllie, Ruby and Kitty, the younger Bridesmaids and Pip, the Pageboy, were the first to be ready and looked wonderful in the colour scheme Hannah and Daniel had chosen. We took a few pictures of them as Hannah was getting dressed. Wow! Hannah looked amazing in her Wedding Dress! Just enough time for a few pictures of Hannah with her Parents, Gil and Michael and Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy, before we left. Marks Hall,Coggeshall.  It was lovely to be back there again after not being there for a while. It was a dry, bright day and fingers crossed it would remain so. Dan was there with his Groomsmen and we had a little time to take a few pictures. Wedding Photographer Marks HallThe sun broke through for the pictures. The men then greeted  the Guests giving us the opportunity to take a few informal pictures. Hannah and the girls arrived soon after and made their way inside.  Hannah and Dan hoped for suitable weather for an outside Ceremony and luckily got this!  Guests took their seats. Hannah took her Father’s arm and they made their way outside for the Ceremony. Wedding Photographer Marks Hall After the Ceremony, Hannah and Dan had time to enjoy the Drinks Reception outside with their Guests. After a short while we got on with the requested family pictures. With these finished everyone continued socialising. Later we took Hannah and Dan for a short time down to the Lake for a few together pictures before the Bridal Party joined us. Fun pictures at the Lake! During the afternoon other pictures were taken finishing with the confetti pictures.  Hannah and Dan chose to have the Speeches before the meal so they could really relax and enjoy the food. Once this was finished Hannah and Dan cut their Wedding Cake and the band set up for the evening entertainment.  This gave time for Guests to enjoy a stroll around the grounds and gave us an opportunity for a few extra minutes with Hannah and Dan. The sunset beckoned! We could not have asked for a better evening! The  Guests made their way to the dance floor ready for Hannah and Dan’s First Dance.   After a few songs, Dan then surprised Hannah by singing with the Band as well. Later during the evening the sparklers were lit and these made for some great pictures.Marks Hall Wedding Photographer That was the end of our coverage of Hannah and Dan’s Wedding although we stayed until late! A superb  day! A wonderful couple!  Congratulations Hannah and Dan on your Wedding Day!

The Compasses Pattiswick

The Compasses Pattiswick

A new wedding venue in North Essex close to Coggeshall. The lovely country setting of the venue is ideal for a bespoke wedding Reception or other family celebration. The venue was previously a restaurant and has an excellent large kitchen, lounge, dining and dancing areas! The gardens have country views which will be ideal for our style of photography.  It looks fantastic for our signature sunset wedding shots! The Compasses Pattiswick is run by a highly experienced wedding event organiser Paul Gooding, who we have worked with many times previously. We look forward to our first commission at this venue.

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer for Dana & Jim

Layer Marney Wedding Photographer for Dana & Jim

Layer Marney was the chosen Wedding Venue for Dana and Jim’s Wedding last year. Dana was getting ready at Crowne Plaza, Colchester and that’s where we started our day.  Lots of preparations were going on in the rooms where they were getting ready but everybody was enjoying themselves and everything was going smoothly. We took some pictures of the girls as they were getting ready. Finishing touches applied Dana and the rest of the girls got ready, Dana being helped by her Mother. Time was on our side so we had time to take a few pictures of them all once they were ready. These completed we then travelled to Layer Marney Tower. Layer Marney Wedding Photographer Jim was there with his Groomsmen so before too many of the Guests arrived we took a few pictures of them in front of the Tower. As the Guests arrived on the Layer Marney Bus  we had time to take a few arrival shots. Jim, his Groomsmen and the Guests made their way upto the Corsellis Room to take their seats for the Civil Ceremony.  Meanwhile Dana arrived in the Layer Marney Rolls Royce and after a couple of pictures met with the Registrars. The Civil Ceremony followed and once this finished Dana and Jim were given Champagne and taken for a ride in the car. It was a lovely day so the Drinks Reception was held outside and Guests enjoyed this in the grounds of Layer Marney. Arriving at the gates we took a few pictures of Dana and Jim before they walked up the path to the Tower. Their Guests walked towards the steps to see  and greet them as they reached the top. Dana and Jim spent a little while socialising with their Guests before we took the requested group pictures. These went well and gave the opportunity to Dana and Jim to mingle a bit more. During the afternoon we took a mixture of fun Bridal Party pictures and informal pictures. Layer Marney Wedding PhotographerMolly and Evie, the younger Bridesmaids had fun around the grounds and we were on hand to capture the pictures. For Dana and Jim’s together pictures we went to the Lake and Barn. We ended up with a great selection of pictures, well done Dana and Jim! Wedding Photographer Layer Marney TowerJust before the Wedding Breakfast Dana and Jim were covered with confetti and they then proceeded into the Long Gallery for the Wedding Breakfast. The Speeches were before the meal and there was a tear in everybody’s eyes when Molly’s Speech was read. Molly had written some beautiful words but didn’t want to read them out loud to a room full of people, so the Best Man did the honours. Well done Molly! The meal was served and afterwards there was a little time for everyone to relax outside as the Band set up for the evening celebrations. A sunset was on the cards and Dana and Jim wanted to do a few other pictures as well. Dana and Jim cut their Wedding Cake before their First Dance.Layer Marney Recommended Wedding Photographer After the Tower night shot we left Dana and Jim to continue dancing to the superb Band Three Mile Hill. Thank you Dana and Jim for the ‘extra’ you put into your pictures on your Wedding Day.

Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn for Trish and Chris

Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn for Trish and Chris

Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn – Trish and Chris got married on a glorious day in the Autumn last year. We arrived at Trish’s home first of all to take a few getting ready pictures and a few pictures of Trish’s accessories and details. Before we left we managed to take a few pictures when everybody was ready.  Trish and Chris were having a Church Service at St Margarets Church, Downham. We love this Church and where it is situated, at the top of a hill. When we arrived we met Chris with his Groomsmen and it was nice again to work with David of Humble Productions. We had time to take a few pictures of the men by the gate before the Wedding Guests made their way into the Church. Wedding Photographer St Margarets Church DownhamThe Bridesmaids arrived soon after and Trish arrived a little later on with her Mum, who was giving her away. After a couple of pictures they made their way into Church. After the service as Trish and Chris came out of the Church they had a little time to socialise with their Guests. A few requested family group pictures were taken at the Church before Trish and Chris were showered in confetti at the Lych gate, making for some nice pictures. Essex Church Wedding Photographer St Margarets DownhamIt was then time to make our way to Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon, for the Reception. When we arrived at Crabbs Barn, the early evening light was wonderful, so we decided to take Trish and Chris for their pictures as soon as they arrived. What a good plan that proved to be! They were first to arrive after us so we quickly whisked them off. After a few pictures around Crabbs Barn we went for a quick walk in the lane and then into the field.  Some nice pictures.Crabbs Barn Recommended Wedding PhotographerThis didn’t take very long  and as we returned to Crabbs Barn, Guests were still arriving. Trish and Chris enjoyed the Drinks Reception with their Guests.  We took a few informal pictures of Guests during this time to go with the informal pictures we took at the Church earlier. Following a few other pictures it was time for everybody to go into the  Barn. Chris made a Speech as did Trish’s Mum and the Best Man.  Afterwards it was time for the BBQ. Trish and Chris’ First Dance followed.Crabbs Barn Wedding Photographer A couple of night shots ended our coverage of Trish and Chris’ Wedding Day. A lovely couple!

Pre-Wedding photo-shoot for Paula & Jason

It was lovely day when we met  Paula and Jason again in the Autumn last year for their Pre-Wedding photo-shoot. Our arranged meeting point was The Beth Chatto Gardens, Colchester.  Deciding to take some pictures of Paula and Jason first we started our wander around the superb gardens. We were spoilt for choice with the variety of different areas and made full use of them.  Happy with the pictures we took we then went for a coffee and a cake and had a chat with Paula and Jason about their Wedding at Fennes in the Spring this year.

Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn for Laura & Joe

Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn for Laura & Joe

Crabbs Barn was the chosen Venue for Laura and Joe’s Wedding in early Autumn last year. We arrived at Crabbs Barn as the men were having their Buttonholes put on. Once they were ready we had time to take a few pictures of them at the gate before the Guests arrived. As Joe and his Groomsmen then greeted the Guests whilst we captured a few candid  arrival pictures. When Laura was due to arrive Joe and all the guests were seated the Barn ready for the Ceremony. The Bridesmaids arrived, followed by Laura.  Having a little time we took a couple of pictures before Laura met with the Registrars. Laura took her Father’s arm and they made their way into the Barn.

Crabbs Barn Recommended Wedding Photographer Once the Ceremony was over, Laura and Joe had a few pictures with the Car before joining their Guests for the Drinks Reception. It was a lovely day, the children enjoyed themselves on the space hoppers, as did the adults! During the afternoon we took the requested family group pictures and some pictures of Laura and Joe around Crabbs Barn.Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn Just before the Wedding Breakfast the wedding guests covered Laura and Joe with petals before Laura tossed her bouquet. Everybody then went into the Barn for the Wedding Breakfast.  The Speeches were after the meal, Laura and Joe delivered their Speech, then it was the turn of the Best Man, James. After a couple of minutes, his Speech was interrupted by the fantastic Maurice Canham, ‘Del Boy’ lookalike!  As this was a surprise for everyone, reactions were fantastic! Eventually, James completed his Speech! Whilst the barn was  rearranged for the evening reception, the Guests went outside where ‘Del Boy’ was continuing his entertainment. Wedding Photographer Crabbs Barn Some brilliant pictures, despite us struggling to hold the cameras still due to us laughing so much!  We have seen him many times before, he is so good! Evening Guests joined in the fun as well.  Later it was time for Laura and Joe to cut their Wedding Cake and have their First Dance.Recommended Crabbs Barn Wedding Photographer A couple of night shots ended our coverage of Laura and Joe’s special day.
