We met with Vicky and Phil one evening to go over the final details of their Wedding at Prested Hall in a few weeks time. After talking about their Wedding we went out to take a few pictures of them in the early evening sunshine.
James and Sarah got in touch with us recently about updating their family pictures. We can’t believe it was their Wedding in 2010 which we photographed at Barnsdale Hall, Rutland. Finding a time when all family members can get together is always hard but worthwhile in the end.
David and I prefer to get to know our couples a little bit better before their Wedding Day so we enjoy meeting them at a convenient time and place. We met up with Tracy and Ben one afternoon a few weeks ago at Hadleigh Country Park. Deciding to go for a walk and take some pictures, first of all, was a good call, it was dry and bright and not too windy. By the time we had finished we were windswept, so it was nice to stop for a hot drink and a chat! Tracy and Ben are getting married in the summer at The Lawn, Rochford.
Not long before Joanne and Barry’s Wedding we met up with them for their pre-wedding session. As we were at Joanne’s Parents house, not wanting to be left out, their dogs joined us for a few pictures! Later whilst talking about their Wedding we found out that Barry went to primary school with our son, we thought he looked familiar! Joanne and Barry are getting married at Vaulty Manor, Heybridge.
Verity and Lewis’ Evening Wedding was held at the popular Crabbs Barn. Verity was getting ready in the Bridal Suite with her Mum and Bridesmaids and preparations were going well.
Finley and Charlie were getting ready with Lewis in the Farmhouse so David went over to join them and take a few pictures. Once Verity was ready we took a few pictures in the room before it was time for the Ceremony. Finley and Charlie, looking very smart, led the way into the Barn followed by the Bridesmaids and Verity, escorted by Daniel, her Brother. Daniel’s other job this evening was playing the Saxophone during the signing of the Register, which he did very well. After the Ceremony, the Guests lined the path outside the Barn for Verity and Lewis to walk down and be covered in petals. Everybody then went into the Garden Room for the Drinks Reception. A little while later we took Verity and Lewis outside quickly for a few pictures at the Gate before going into the Barn. We continued taking their pictures inside before we were joined by family members for some pictures. As everybody was in the Barn, Speeches started before the arrival of more Guests and then it was the BBQ.Verity and Lewis cut their Wedding Cake just before their First Dance. A ‘Sparklers’ picture ended our coverage of Verity and Lewis’ Evening Wedding at Crabbs Barn.
Wedding Photographs Gosfield Hall for Gill & Chris
Gill and Chris chose the stunning Gosfield Hall for their Wedding and we were delighted to be asked to photograph their big day. Bridal preparations were taking place upstairs at Gosfield Hall when we arrived. Everything was running smoothly and Gill, her Mother, Val, Father, Cliff, and Sister, Nicola were all very relaxed. Meanwhile Chris was getting ready with this Best Man, Richard, and his Ushers, Steve, Mike and Graham. With preparations and details completed and ready, Chris then spent a little time greeting some of the Guests in between having some pictures taken.
Whilst this was going on Gill was getting dressed in the Rococco Suite assisted by her Mum and Sister. Everybody looked lovely! The Rococco Suite is a lovely room for Bridal portraits etc, and as time was on our side we got on with these taking full advantage of the setting. After seeing the Registrars, Gill took her Father’s arm and made her way to the Queen’s Gallery for the Civil Ceremony. Following the Ceremony, Gill, Chris and their Guests went into the Salon for the Drinks Reception. It was raining at this time but the forecast was for it was to stop, so Gill and Chris enjoyed some social time with their Guests including being entertained by a Wedding Singer. This gave us ample opportunity for some informal pictures. Starting off inside at Gosfield Hall we got on with the few requested family pictures that Gil and Chris wanted before going off with them for a short while for their pictures. The rain had stopped earlier so after a few pictures of them inside Gosfield Hall we went outside. Returning to their Guests, Gill and Chris had a little time before the Receiving Line. The Wedding Breakfast followed and then it was time for the Speeches. Speeches took a different spin today! Questions and Answers! It worked well! In between the end of the Wedding Breakfast and the evening celebrations we took a few more pictures of Gill and Chris together with some special requested pictures. The First Dance followed the cake cutting and after capturing a flavour of the rest of the evening celebrations it was time for us to leave. Such a relaxed, enjoyable and rewarding day!

Sarah and Paul chose the popular Crabbs Barn for their Evening Wedding. Sarah andPaul were getting ready at Crabbs Barn so when we arrived I went off to see the girls whilst David went to meet with the guys. It was busy in the Bridal Suite with Mum, the Bridesmaids and Flowergirl getting ready so plenty of images to capture. Alfie, Sarah and Paul’s son, was with his Dad in the Farmhouse getting ready together with Paul’s Best Man and Ushers. Once ready Paul and his Groomsmen headed off towards the Barn for their pictures. With hair, make-up and dressing finished in the Bridal Suite we took a few pictures. As the Guests were being shown into the Barn, Paul of Crabbs Barn, arrived at the Bridal Suite, meaning it was time to walk the short distance to the Barn for the Ceremony. The Bridesmaids waited in the warmth of the Barn while Sarah met with the Registrars. The children, Alfie, Annie, Alexis and Liberty led the way into the Barn followed by Sarah escorted by her Dad. After the Ceremony, Sarah and Paul made their way outside to have a couple of pictures with the lanterns before everybody joined them for a big group picture. Although a dry evening it was rather cool to be standing outside for long so most of the Guests went for Drinks in the Garden Room whilst we took a few family requested pictures in the main Barn. As the Guests were enjoying the Drinks Reception we took some informal images of them and after Sarah and Paul had spent a little time with them, we went with them outside for a few pictures of the two of them.Later on everybody went outside and lit their Sparklers for Sarah and Paul to walk past and into the Barn for the BBQ. After a lovely BBQ provided by JLS Catering, it was time for a couple of Speeches. Sarah and Paul then cut their Wedding cake, then took to the dance floor for their First Dance. A wonderful couple and a lovely evening!
