It was nice to be asked by Sarah and Russell to again update their family pictures. Previously we had taken pictures of their son, Beau and a couple of family pictures. Now they wanted some pictures of their new daughter, Fleur as well as some of them altogether. Beau liked being the big brother, helping us out and keeping Fleur amused. Lovely to see this family again and we look forward to seeing them later this year. We were wedding photographers for Sarah and Russell at Crabbs Barn a few years back.Children and babies are always fun to capture. Whilst it is great to work with new clients, it is fantastic to see our former wedding couples again and how they are moving on in life – we feel part of their life story!
Katie and Howard were married at Vaulty Manor in 2014, and got in touch with us during last year to say they would becoming a family in December. A few days after Amelie was born we visited them to take some pictures. Amelie was as good as gold and we were pleased to achieve a few lovely pictures of her together with a couple of pictures of the three of them. We have a love of baby portraits in monochrome, which seem to be timeless although of course we do also work in colour! Always a pleasure to see our wedding couples again.
Alex and Laura made contact with us during December last year to enquire about our Wedding Photography services and mentioned they may want a studio portrait taken as a Christmas gift. Once they had booked their Wedding date they arranged to come and meet us for the studio portrait and to discuss their wedding plans. We are pleased to say they liked their pictures and additionally booked their Wedding with us as well. Alex and Laura will be getting married at Prested Hall, Feering, next year. We are looking forward to photographing their wedding.
Christmas Wedding Photography Fennes for Beth & Lee
A Christmas Wedding at Fennes! Beth and Lee chose the popular Wedding Venue The Fennes Estate for their Wedding. Arriving at Fennes, meeting with the girls was our first job. David then went off to find the guys who were in the cottages making their final preparations. Beth and the girls were having a great time upstairs in the changing rooms, having their hair and make-up done. Once Lee and the men were ready, looking splendid in their RAF uniforms, they made their way over to the house. After taking a few portraits of Lee and a few pictures of them all Lee and his Groomsmen went into the house as the Guests were starting to arrive. By this time the girls were in the final stages of getting ready and once Beth’s Mother was ready, she assisted Beth to get dressed. Beth looked lovely!
Taking a few pictures of Beth, her Bridesmaids and Flowergirls, Beth then went down the stairs to where her Father was. The Bridesmaids led the way into the Pavilion for the Civil Ceremony. After the Ceremony everybody went to the front of Fennes for the Drinks Reception. Beth and Lee socialised with their Guests for a little while before it was time to get on with the pictures. It was not raining so for the requested family pictures we went outside for a short while before doing a few more inside. As these were taking place everyone enjoyed the mulled wine and mincepies. Later on, after Beth had changed her footwear, we took Beth and Lee for a few minutes over to the bridge for their pictures. Guests threw confetti over Beth and Lee when we returned before it was time for the Receiving Line. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion with the Speeches following. The best Man’s speech was extremely well planned! There was time afterwards for a few relaxed pictures of Beth and Lee before the cake cutting. Surprising their Guests with the light up letters on the dance floor Beth and Lee took to the floor for their First Dance. After capturing a flavour of the evening celebrations we said our goodbyes. Thanks to Sharon and all the staff at Fennes.
Rebecca and James were married at Layer Marney Tower in 2014, so it was nice to see them again in December last year. They wanted us to photograph their baby daughter, Chloe, who was only a few days old. Taking a variety of pictures including some family pictures they ended up with some nice memories of those early days with a newborn. As usual for Newborn Family Portraits we visited the family in their own home, which makes life so much easier for the parents. As is obvious from the pictures we don’t need very much room for these.
Emma and David were married at Gosfield Hall in 2014, so we were delighted that Emma and David got in touch with us back in December last year. They wanted us to make New Born Baby Portraits their son Luca and take a couple of family pictures at the same time. After finding a convenient time for them and us we arranged to go to their home. Having time to wait until Luca had a feed and was happier to have some pictures taken was fine by us. We had a nice time and ended up with some nice results.
As always it was nice to meet up with Sam and Neil and their two children, William and Freddy as we regularly do, this time before Christmas. We do have a fun time and this time was no exception. One of the requests was for pictures for their christmas cards.
Once again it was nice to be asked to photograph Benton Hall Men’s Golf Captain and Benton Hall Lady’s Golf Captain at the end of last year. This time we took the portraits of Dave Claxton and Sara Hodges.
It was nice to see Alexandra again, this time with Joseph, Alexandra and Joseph’s son, together with their niece and nephew. We photographed Alexandra and Joe’s Wedding at Whittlebury Hall in 2011. Alexandra and Joseph wanted a few pictures of the children for a christmas present for their Grandad. The request was for the pictures to be with the pets at Old Mac Donald’s Farm, which the family own. Luck was on our side weather wise on the morning when we met them. All we had to rely on was the children and the pets playing ball! Trying to get children smiling and pets staying still was an interesting challenge – but it worked!
Another chance to see our work on display will be at Fennes on Sunday 13 March 2016, 11.0am-3.0pm. As well as some of our other sample books, we will have a new sample Storybook album from the wedding of Hannah and Chris back in November last year. Beautiful atmospheric autumn pictures at St Mary’s Bocking and Fennes – pictures you just can not get on a Race Course! Come and see what we can do at all times of the year at this top Essex wedding venue.
