As always it was a lovely to see Lottie, Rich and their two children, Matilda and Imogen to create some more Environmental Family Portraits.
We photographed Lottie and Rich’s Wedding at Burgh Island, Devon, in 2009. Since they have had a family we have taken photographs of them at various times. It was such a lovely morning, Matilda and Imogen were playing in the garden, having fun, with their Parents. Karen and Geoff, their Grandparents were joining in as well! During the time we were there we had the opportunity of taking some relaxed informal pictures of the two girls, capturing their personalities. A morning to remember!
The sun was shining for Jaimey and Mehmet’s Wedding day at Fennes. We arrived at Fennes just before Mehmet arrived with his Groomsmen. They made their way into the Library to finish getting ready. Jaimey was upstairs having her hair done and the room was a hive of activity! Working around their preparations I got on with photographing the details and accessories, whilst David was downstairs with the men capturing their preparations. David couldn’t leave the men as a surprise was in store for Mehmet! Unbeknown to Mehmet, Jaimey had arranged for a Ferrari to arrive at Fennes and take him to St Mary’s Church, Bocking for the Church service. It wasn’t long before the Ferrari arrived and Memhmet’s Best Man persuaded Mehmet to go to the front of the house . How surprised Mehmet was! Grinning from ear to ear, Mehmet just stared at the Ferrarri before climbing in to have some pictures taken. Jaimey was delighted her surprise had worked and enjoyed the feedback from the Bridesmaids and a few Guests who had watched the drama unfolding. Mehmet was then chauffeured to St Mary’s Church. Time was racing by and with so many people getting ready we decided that I would go to the Church whilst David stayed behind capturing what was happening. After meeting the men at the Church and capturing some pictures of the Guests as well as Mehmet, it wasn’t long before Jaimey arrived. We captured the moments as they happened as they all made their way into the Church. After the Church service we took a few family pictures outside the Church before the Guests made their way down to the gate for the confetti pictures. Before leaving the Church we took a couple pictures of Jaimey and Mehmet with the car before they left for the Reception. As we were back at Fennes with Jaimey and Mehmet well before their Guests, we went to take some pictures on the bridge and around the grounds. Returning to the House we caught up on a few bridal shots of Jaimey that we didn’t get earlier in the Gold Room. As the Guests arrived they enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the gardens. The Wedding Breakfast was held in the Pavilion and was followed by the Speeches. With the main Speeches delivered a few of Jaimey and Mehmet’s relatives and friends said a few words. It was a beautiful evening and afterwards Guests went outside and socialised. Using the superb grounds we took some relaxed bridal party pictures before it was time for the First Dance. Finishing Jaimey and Mehmet’s coverage of their special day a nice sunset picture. Thank you so much Sue (Fennes Front of house) for your help, much appreciated as always!
Come and visit us at Fennes Open Day, tomorrow for a friendly chat about your Wedding and to view our Wedding photography.
One of the interesting comments we have received recently, is how ‘other photographers’ were supposedly offering better price and products …… this was without the potential client even coming to see what our products are like or asking about what is included! While we can not be considered to offer the cheapest packages around, we do try to offer realistic packages that don’t include too many nasty cost surprises after the wedding! Do please come and chat, we are not ‘pressure sales’ people!
Laura and Mark’s Wedding in Cambridge was on a beautiful day. It was a bright and early start for our journey to Laura’s Parents’ home where the Bridal preparations were taking place. On arrival, whilst Laura, her Parents, Sisters and her Niece and Nephew were getting ready, we busied ourselves with taking pictures of the Laura’s Wedding Dress and Accessories. In between we captured the informal moments and atmosphere of the morning. Once her hair and make-up was finished, Laura put on her Wedding Dress, the time was going very quickly! What a picture! Laura looked stunning! Everybody else looked lovely too! After a few pictures we left them to travel to St John the Evangelist Church, Cambridge for the Church service.
Mark was there with his Best Man, Usher and his Parents, so we took a few pictures before they disappeared into the beautiful Church. Laura arrived and after being joined by her Mum and the Bridesmaids we took a few pictures of them before it was time for the service. Imogen, Laura’s niece and the Flowergirl played her part very well, sprinkling the rose petals down the aisle as Laura took her Mum’s arm and walked down the aisle. Extra special moments for Laura marrying in this Church, this was the church where her Grandma was married. Some lovely images were taken during the service and afterwards the Guests followed Laura and Mark outside for a few family pictures. The sun was shining, it was extremely warm but luckily we were able to find some shade. Deciding to make the most of our area outside the Church we got on with the requested family groups followed by a couple of Bridal party pictures. Confetti was thrown by their Guests as they left the Church for the Reception. DoubleTree Hilton Hotel was the chosen Wedding Venue for Laura and Mark. We arrived moments after Laura and Mark arrived at the Hotel, they were just waiting for their chauffeured ride on a punt down the river. With their glasses of champagne they set off. As their Guests arrived, they enjoyed the Drinks Reception whilst watching the comings and goings on the River. When Laura and Mark returned from their ride, we managed to take a few pictures of them before they were welcomed by their Guests and enjoyed some social time. The Wedding Breakfast was served shortly after and the Speeches and cake cutting followed. Whilst the room was being prepared for the evening celebrations, Laura and Mark’s evening Guests arrived. The final part of our coverage of Mark and Laura’s Wedding was First Dance pictures, some night pictures and to round the day off some brilliant sparkler pictures. A fantastic day! Thank you to Laura and Mark for wanting the pictures and it was lovely to meet Laura’s family again.
“we received them- they are amazing i cried my eyes out! as did my family!”
Thankfully these are the type of tears we want, tears of joy!! We hear so many stories of Brides who used inexperienced or ‘budget’ photographers and didn’t get the happy memories of their big day. That’s not to say that we are perfect! However, with approaching 2000 weddings of experience there is pretty good chance of us providing you with the service you expect!
All the sample pictures on this site were taken by either myself or Sandra and all at real live weddings. All our sample albums are from individual weddings, not just a collection of the best pictures over a period. Photographing a couple dressed in wedding attire but not on a wedding day, can result in some fantastic pictures, they are however, not wedding pictures! Do check with your intended photographer exactly what you are looking at. How much experience have they got photographing weddings?
Sarah and Steve chose the wonderful Wedding Venue Crabbs Barn for their Wedding Day. It was a beautiful day as Sarah arrived at Crabbs Barn with only the final preparations to do in the Bridal Suite where we could capture these moments. When Steve and his Groomsmen arrived in we met up with them for their pictures.
Sarah looked lovely once she was ready and we stepped outside for a few pictures of her with her Bridesmaids and Parents. Sarah took her Father’s arm and accompanied by her Bridesmaids left the Bridal suite to go to the Barn. After Sarah and Steve exchanged their vows and the Ceremony finished we took a couple of pictures of them as they made their way outside. Sarah and Steve wanted to celebrate their Ceremony and the Wedding Breakfast with only close family and friends so there we only a few guests for this stage. They all enjoyed the informal Drinks Reception and whilst this was going on we took some ‘capture the moment’ pictures. A little while later we got on with taking the arranged family pictures followed by some fun bridal party pictures.
During the afternoon we took Sarah and Steve for a short walk around the grounds ending up with some lovely results. Before the Wedding Breakfast Sarah and Steve were showered by rose petals. Afterwards the Speeches took place everyone made their way back into the garden while the barn was prepared for the evening Reception. As the Guests enjoyed the evening sunshine we took Sarah and Steve for a few minutes into the lane for some evening images. Although Sarah and Steve only had family and close friends during the day they were joined for the evening celebrations and BBQ by lots and lots of Guests! Nice, informal pictures were taken during the evening. Cake cutting and the First Dance took place later on. We love our Sunsets and Sarah and Steve were not disappointed! Fabulous! Thank you Sarah and Steve for being such an easy going couple, such an enjoyable day. Nice to see familiar faces again especially Gary and Eleanor whose Crabbs Barn Wedding we photographed in 2008. Thanks also to all at Crabbs Barn for looking after us. A wonderful day!
