Layer Marney Tower Wedding Photography – Toni & Russell

Before going to Layer Marney Tower we first attended Crown Plaza Five Lakes Resort, Colchester, where Toni, her Parents and Bridesmaids were getting ready.  With detail shots taken, Toni wanted to have some pictures taken with all of them outside in the garden. This didn’t take too long as it was rather warm and time was going quickly, as always.  Leaving them, we travelled to Layer Marney Tower, Layer-de-la-Haye. With Venue pictures and other details photographed, there was time for some pictures of Russell and his Groomsmen around the grounds of Layer Marney Tower. They all then headed up to the Corsellis Room for the Civil Ceremony.  Toni arrived soon after and with all Guests seated she made her way into the room.  Graham, Layer Marney’s Chauffeur, was waiting for them outside after the Ceremony to take them for a short drive in the vintage Rolls Royce. Meanwhile their Guests enjoyed the Drinks Reception in the grounds, with us taking some candid shots of them.  Toni and Russell Returned to Layer Marney Tower and walked up the path to meet their Guests. In between socialising with their Guests some family pictures were taken.  Toni and Russell wanted to have some more pictures taken of them together all around Layer Marney Tower, fine by us!  Speeches were before the Wedding Breakfast and we took couple pictures of families and couples as requested by Toni and Russell before the meal was served.  The sunset provided Toni and Russell a lovely picture before the First Dance. While were photographing the sunset Toni asked if we could do a video clip of the first dance, something we have never done before for a wedding! What a dance it was! Fabulous!  So worth the effort with the video filming!  A night picture completed our coverage of a lovely day. Viewing of Fellowship pictures

Last year I was awarded a Fellowship from The British Institute of Professional Photography in Wedding Photography. A Fellowship is an extremely difficult level to achieve in any discipline but particularly in weddings, as there are so many variables which are outside the photographer’s control!   Finally we had the chance yesterday evening to present the pictures to a selection of friends, neighbours, suppliers, Registrars and of course a few local photographers.

The evening was enjoyable and a great success. Thank you to all those who attended and particularly to Michael of The Art & Framing Centre who provided us the space to host the event.

As far as I am aware I am currently the only working Wedding Fellow in Essex. Here are a selection of the pictures, please do contact us if you would like to view them all.Essex wedding photographer Fellowship pictures

Family Portraits

It was nice to see Sian and Jason again together with their Family recently for dome relaxed portraits.  We took their Wedding Photographs at Crondon Park, Stock, a few years ago.  Sian, her brother and sister had purchased a Voucher from us for their Parents.  They wanted to have some pictures taken with the Family including the dogs.  They chose to do this was in the late afternoon at Weald Park in Brentwood.  The weather was good and they ended up with some nice pictures to choose from.portraits of family in Weald Park

Gaynes Park Wedding Photography – Melanie & Antony

Melanie and Antony chose the superb Wedding Venue, Gaynes Park in Epping, for their Wedding.  The weather on the day could not have been better and added to the setting.  Melanie and the girls were in the Apple Loft Cottage with final preparations taking place when we arrived.  We took a few pictures of Antony with his Best Man and Ushers, shortly after they arrived, making sure we captured him on his Speedway motorbike!  Once the girls were ready we took a few portraits of them before the Civil Ceremony.  Melanie looked lovely as she made the walk from the cottage through the gate and along the path towards the Orangery.  Following the Ceremony, Melanie and Antony led their Guests outside for the Drinks Reception. Greeting their Guests made for some relaxed pictures before a few family group pictures, which was followed by a short walk around the grounds of Gaynes Park for Melanie and Antony’s pictures.  After a break with their guests, we arranged the confetti pictures outside the Orangery just before it was time for the Wedding Breakfast.  Guests made their way to the Mill Barn and were followed in by Melanie and Antony.  The speeches followed the wedding Breakfast during which we captured candid relaxed pictures. The light was good after the meal so we took the opportunity for a few more pictures of the happy couple culminating in some really nice sunset shots. The First Dance generated some very emotional pictures, our day ended with a picture under the illuminated Gaynes Park Gazebo, to complete our coverage of a lovely Wedding.wedding photography Gaynes Park, Epping 130830-Mel&Ant-01 130830-Mel&Ant-03

Family Photographs

We were requested to take some family photographs for Jeremy’s Mum and Dad’s Golden Wedding Anniversary.  They wanted a few family group pictures to record the occasion and we were very pleased to be asked. It was also a great opportunity to update the girls pictures who we had not photographed recently. family photographs Essexfamily photographs

Baby Pictures

It was lovely to see Jo and Alex again, the last time we saw them was on their Wedding Day at The Fennes Estate, Bocking, in 2009.   Jo and Alex wanted some baby pictures of their daughter, Emily, and we more than happy to oblige.  Emily was brilliant and we are looking forward to taking some more pictures of her in the coming months.baby pictures

Wedding Photography at The Bull Hotel, Long Melford

Carley and Brian’s Wedding had been a long time in the planning so it was nice finally for the day to be here.  First of all we went to Carley and Brian’s house, where Carley, her Parents and Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Pageboy were all getting ready. The colour scheme Carley and Brian had chosen was fabulous together with all the details.  After taking the accessory shots and when everybody was ready we took a few portraits.  Following this we left to go the St Peter & St Paul Church, Foxearth, where we met Brian, his Best Man and Ushers.  The rain was in the air but we managed to take a few pictures of the men and a few more as they walked up to the Church.  Carley arrived soon after and it was time for the Church Service.  The rain had not quite stopped by the end of the service so we took the first few pictures in the church.  Luckily, we managed to do the family pictures outside as well as some fun pictures before it started to spot with rain again.  Arriving at The Bull Hotel, Long Melford, it was decided to get as many outside pictures as possible before the threatened weather interrupted us!  Carly and Brian were brilliant, together with the Bridal Party and we achieved some lovely shots.  Finishing our last picture outside, the heavens opened and that was that!   Capturing relaxed, informal pictures of the Wedding Guests in the various areas of the Hotel recorded the rest of the afternoon Reception.  Following the Wedding Breakfast we covered the Speeches and then took some evening couple pictures before the First Dance. Carly and Brian wanted a few Sparkler shots which we were able to do before leaving them to continue their evening celebrations.  It was nice to see Charlotte and Rob again as we did their Wedding Photography at The Fennes Estate, Bocking in 2010, and to thank them for recommending us. The-Bull-Hotel-01 The-Bull-04The Bull HotelWedding photo at The Bull Hotel, SuffolkBull Hotel, Long Melford, wedding photo
