Qualifications

Just had an interesting conversation about how there are so many photographers these days. In this particular case with somebody who had just had their boiler serviced by ‘somebody who does weddings’. Well, that as ever got me thinking, perhaps I should launch into cheap boiler repairs? I have no particular skill or qualifications for that but it can’t be that hard, I could learn as I go…….. .!!!

If you are looking for a photographer for Weddings or Portraits please look out for the letters after their name :-

LBIPP or LMPA – Licensed as competent photographers

ABIPP or AMPA – Associate qualification, highly skilled photographers.

FBIPP or FMPA – The highest qualification for only awarded to a very few exceptional photographers.

It is worth asking which discipline (Wedding, Portrait, etc) they qualified in. Sandra and I are both Associate level in wedding photography.

Unlike a boiler service cutting corners on your wedding photography won’t kill you, but you could be left with a very unpleasant memory. Please only trust a Qualified Professional Photographer.

Wedding Photography for Sarah & Will at Prested Hall, Feering

An extremely hot day greeted us on arrival at Prested Hall, Feering for the Wedding of Sarah & Will.  Prested Hall looked a perfect setting for an outdoor Ceremony with the sun shining brightly.  Both Sarah and Will were getting ready at Prested Hall, so I went with the girls whilst David went with the boys to capture the final preparations.  Following the Ceremony, Sarah and Will were able to mingle with their Guests for the Drinks Reception before we took a few requested family group photographs.  Just before the Wedding Breakfast we took Sarah and Will for their portraits around the grounds of Prested Hall and we would like to thank them for for giving us extra time allowing us to try  a couple of different ideas.  After the Wedding Breakfast we took a couple of evening pictures of Sarah and Will together with a few pictures of their evening Guests before the First Dance. Wedding Photography for Natasha & Paul at The Fennes Estate

Our day started at Fennes, Bocking, where Natasha, and her Bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done.  Everyone was busy with final preparations and it was nice to be there to capture these special moments.  Time was flying by and after taking a couple of  pictures David went ahead to St. Mary’s Church, Bocking, for Paul’s pictures with his Best Man and Ushers.  I decided to stay behind with Hart Videography and capture the action pictures.  As always the warm welcome by Canon Philip Need of St. Mary’s Church greeted Natasha as she arrived at the Church.  After the church service we took a few photographs outside and confetti pictures before returning to Fennes.  After giving Natasha and Paul some time to relax we photographed the requested family pictures, before having another short break, before taking them for a little while for their photographs around the beautiful grounds of The Fennes.  Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches, we took a few pictures of the happy couple before the First Dance.Wedding Photo - The Fennes Estate

Testimonial for Westwood Park Wedding Photographers

We were pleased to receive this Testimonial recently:-

“The photos are gorgeous and the story book is fantastic. I took it into work and people have said that’s the best photo album they have ever seen, so professionally done and absolutely amazing. We couldn’t agree more”.

Wedding Photography for Jenny & Michael at Priory Hall, Hadleigh

Jenny and Michael chose the stunning Priory Hall, Hadleigh, for their Wedding.  Jenny was getting ready at The Crown, Stoke-by-Nayland, where we photographed  her final preparations with her family and Bridesmaids.  One of Jenny’s Bridesmaids was Chloe, whose parents’ Kwok and Andrew’s Wedding we photographed at Le Maison Talbooth in 2007, and it was nice to meet with them again and Chloe for the first time.  Michael and his Grooomsmen were at Priory Hall so when we arrived at Priory Hall we photographed them before Jenny arrived for the Civil Ceremony in the wonderful Tudor Hall.  After the Ceremony we altered our plans due to a short shower just as we were going to do the family group pictures so we captured some informal pictures instead.  Once the shower passed, the sun returned and we carried on with Jenny and Michael’s family group pictures.  A short while after we took Jenny and Michael around the fabulous gardens for their pictures.  During the evening we took some pictures of the evening Guests, First Dance, ending our coverage with evening shots of Jenny and Michael.Wedding Photo - Priory Hall, Hadleigh

Wedding Photography for Jennifer & Russell at Crabbs Barn, Kelvedon

Crabbs Barn was the lovely Wedding Venue that Jennifer and Russell chose for their Wedding Day.   It was a dry and sunny day, which gave a helping hand to create the fun and relaxed atmosphere for Jennifer and Russell’s special day.  Following the Civil Ceremony we got on with the requested family group photographs efficiently, allowing plenty of time for Jen and Russ to socialise with their Guests around the grounds of Crabbs Barn.  After the Wedding Breakfast Jen and Russ were eager to do some evening pictures as the sun was going down and it was a great pleasure working together to produce something special for them, which we did!Wedding Photo - Crabbs Barn

Wedding Photography for Katy & Sam at Westwood Park, Colchester

We were delighted to be Photographers as well as Guests at the Wedding of Katy and Sam at the beautiful Westwood Park.  This was a special Wedding to us as David photographed Sam’s Parents’ Wedding a week before our own Wedding in 1981 and we have known Sam since he was born. After taking Katy’s final preparation pictures at her home we went to Westwood Park.  The Ceremony was held in the Old Library, followed by a Drinks Reception on the lawn.  A rain shower briefly interrupted proceedings but didn’t distract from the relaxed atmosphere of the day.  A walk around the wonderful grounds of Westwood Park with the Bride and Groom is a must, so taking the opportunity, we achieved some lovely photographs.  Following a BBQ, Katy and Sam’s evening Guests arrived.  Katy and Sam were lucky enough to have a rainbow and sunset, which made some special photographs for them.  A brilliant day!Wedding Photo - Westwood Park

Wedding Photography for Danielle & Steve at Prested Hall, Feering

Danielle and Steve chose Prested Hall, Feering, for their Wedding, and as David and I arrived preparations were well underway with both Danielle and Steve.  I joined Danielle, her Mum and Bridesmaids, capturing her final getting ready pictures, whilst David joined Steve and his Groomsmen in the grounds of Prested Hall.  The Wedding Ceremony was held in The Orangery, followed by everybody going outside for some requested family group pictures. The weather held as we took Danielle and Steve for a short walk to the Gazebo and Bridge for some relaxed Bride and Groom portraits, before returning to their Guests for confetti shots.  Following the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches we were lucky enough to get a sunset, resulting in a nice evening picture, before photographing the First Dance.Wedding Photo - Prested Hall
